The course is fun and challenging with many long fun holes, the greens were ok not receptive they need more water or aeration.

The main issue was pacenif play just under 5 Hours way to slow I won’t be back until the weather is cool due to the terrible pace of play

Conditions were amazing. The greens are true and fast. Bunkers need some love. Course in great shape especially considering the amount of play it receives. White tees are challenging but fair at 6,200. Blue tees are very long and you need 250 plus drives to make it enjoyable from 6,677 yards. Average weekend round will be around 5 hours due to full tee sheets.

The layout is great. It’s a relatively straightforward course, but the woods and placement of the sand traps are what make it a challenging round for the average golfer. The greens were pristine, quick and filled with plenty of break. But… the sand traps were virtually unplayable. In August. They were like playing out of the parking lot, and we actually ended up using putter out of the sand on every shot. To charge $70+ for a major part of the course to be unplayable is a bit ridiculous. If you want to play the whole course, you may want to wait until they figure out the sand traps.

A long course that's in great shape... with the exception of the sand traps. but overall, very happy with course.

Course was in great condition, most sand traps were pretty hard and in need!

I have played this course around five (5) times over the last three years. When I played there on August 13,2024 the course was in excellent condition with the exception of one large thing. The sand traps were simply awful. The worst I have ever witnessed, and they really weren't sand traps at all. There wasn't sand in any of them and the dirt that was in the traps was so hard that you could break you club trying to hit the ball. I don't understand why Cook County owners have not fixed the traps over the last 5 years. Won't play this course again.

Beautiful and challenging (sandy😉) course! Great greens and fairways. If you happen to slice into woods- let it go-(loaded with poison ivy). Will definitely play it again!

Yeah yeah yeah, the bunkers need work. Guess what…they’re getting renovated in the upcoming offseason. Played yesterday and the course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen it. Fairways were freshly cut and in great shape, and the greens were firm, smooth, and well manicured. Tee boxes were above average and most importantly, level. Pace of play was average, that’s not the management’s fault. I tend to play from the blues here cause I’m content with a 138 slope (as a 5.5 hcp) but if you want to get your game tested and a good work out, play the tips and be humbled. Sand traps were better than they have been in the past, it’s a 50/50 chance your bunker lie will be decent. Top 10 tracks in Chicagoland overall.

Course was in great shape except for the sand traps They were awful due to the fact that they lacked a lot of sand My understanding is that the county runs the course and doesn’t appropriate enough money to fix this ongoing problem But other than that it is a great track and challenging

Great course but condition has been let go. About half the bunkers are unplayable and green speed was below normal. A real shame as it is such a great layout.
