About
The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley is tucked away in the Pioneer Valley, an area of western Massachusetts known for its lush, rolling hills. It is a favorite amongst locals since it is one of the best values in the region. The course enjoys scenic views that stretch to Mt. Tom and the Holyoke Range. It is on the shorter side at just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, but the dramatic changes in elevation make it seem much longer. Most of the greens are raised with steeply sloped sides, making accuracy essential since missing them by even just a few feet will result in a serious penalty. The golf course has a heavily wooded front nine that seamlessly transitions into a more open back nine featuring links-style holes. The Ledges is a shotmaker's course that offers several interesting risk-reward opportunities.

Good course
Good layout, pace of play can be bad at times. Carts no longer have GPS in them if you’re someone who likes those. Course likes to stay wet after rain days so be prepared for cart path only.
Average course
the course was to wet to play. Not enough signs to direct a new player
The greens were very hard so it was impossible to hold shots into the green. The greens are also have a lot of discoloration. The grass around the greens are way to long. Sand traps need sand added. All in all this course is not a 4.4 course

Well maintained, well managed course
Play here. You will not be disappointed one bit. Not easy but not tight and difficult...bunkers, greens, all good for May.

Wonderful condition, gorgeous vista
This Muni is special. Amazing layout and picturesque views. Really looks like a Private course with the plantings and superior maintenance. Nice staff as well. We’ll be back.

Always Delivers
Ledges is a little out of the way for me but worth the drive every time. The course is fantastic shape, in April no less, and the staff is friendly and effective. Packed house and we didn’t get slowed down but maybe twice on the entire day. Strong recommend.

Try this course!
Excellent layout, very good conditions, somewhat hilly, with challenging greens. Several very nice doglegs. A nice blend of long holes (#2, #11), with some drivable par 4s (#s 15 and 16). Not overly long, the whites are only 5500 yards, but the doglegs make it challenging. Very nice views! Overall a great public course.

Great course! Just not my style of play.
Course was in great shape considering it was early season and the rain/snow the last few days.
Pace of play was good but definitely slowed with the cart path only rules in place (understandable).
I found this course very challenging with its design. Big dog legs, and blind shots made a very tough course to play for the first time.
Definitely would recommend for other people, just not the style course that I enjoy!

A pleasure to play
Love playing The Ledges! The fairways and greens are always in spectacular condition. It is a very fair course to play for all handicap levels, no crazy layouts, no stupid pin placements!
Of my usual foursome, we are all members at another local course which is conveniently located to our homes and where we play in weekday leagues, but the Ledges is our go-to course for at least one weekend a month.
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to Spring 2021 when we'll be back...often!
