About
The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley is tucked away in the Pioneer Valley, an area of western Massachusetts known for its lush, rolling hills. It is a favorite amongst locals since it is one of the best values in the region. The course enjoys scenic views that stretch to Mt. Tom and the Holyoke Range. It is on the shorter side at just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, but the dramatic changes in elevation make it seem much longer. Most of the greens are raised with steeply sloped sides, making accuracy essential since missing them by even just a few feet will result in a serious penalty. The golf course has a heavily wooded front nine that seamlessly transitions into a more open back nine featuring links-style holes. The Ledges is a shotmaker's course that offers several interesting risk-reward opportunities.

Nice Courae
Being that it is my daughters first year of playing golf this course was perfect!! Condition of the greens were the amongst the best I’ve played this year. Very nice layout with beautiful views of the Holyoke mountains. Will most definitely be back!

Carpet fairways with fast Greens
I have to admit when a course is in good shape. Hitting off the fairway was like hitting off a private course. The greens was so fast that I birdied 4 of 9 attempts... Thank you for true roll! It was a 40 minute ride, but I will go back again.

Great course great price
Short yet challenging, course was in beautiful shape, greens were still in perfect shape. Little wet so ball could plug in fairway for high ball flights like mine. Other then the slightly over the top Covid-19 measures, I’ll be back again soon

September 12, 2020
An 11:50 time with plans to warm up on the range and practice greens led to a 10AM departure for us two. The early morning was for the first time much cooler than it had been in recent weeks, but the extra layers turned out to be wholly unnecessary as we tee'd off into the most spectacular day on display from the views at Ledges Golf Course. What a great place to visualize hitting shots into sunlit clouds!
This course offers players the opportunity to work every shot in the bag. And a word to the wise: after rain days, probably best to leave the low bounce wedges at home. They won''t help if you happen to be short of one of the many elevated greens. But don't get too down if you do dig in. Just look up and out and let any of Ledge's views take your cares away.

Fun short track...
Interesting course, played <6300yds from the blue, I think the tips were ~6600yds, I’ll probably play those when I go back. So if you’re a long hitter you’ll find yourself going for par 5’s in 2 on a few occasions.
Greens were all pretty awesome, nice fairways and tee boxes and some great views. There were definitely some holes where tribal knowledge would’ve helped my score. So if it’s your first time, pay attention to the gps on the carts for the hole layout.

Excellent conditions
Course is in excellent shape. It was a little soft which seemed unusual since there hasn’t been any rain lately. Fairways were nearly perfect and greens were great except for the poorly repaired ball marks but that’s normal on a public course. Great variety of holes. Pace of play was excellent. Definitely worth the hour drive

The course is in very good ondition considering the dry weather. SevEral fairways were rather wet and soggy but everything else was fine The teeboxes, the fairways and the greens were very nice. The greens were fast but true and several of the holes are very challenging. My only complaint was the threesome behind us were always lurking right behind us as though they were trying to play in record time. Our foursome played the course in 3and 1/2 hours. We thoroughly enjoyed the course despite being somewhat rushed by the threesome.

90% of the course is in perfect shape
Ledges has been in great shape all year. A few burn spots in the fairways but with the recent heat wave, it’s to be expected. Everything else is in top shape

Great Course!
Ledges golf course is well maintained and is fun to play! It’s my favorite course to play. The views are a plus as well! Good layout with several challenging holes. My friends and I try to make sure we play there a few times a month. Play ledges, you will not be disappointed! Enjoy!

Good course lay out
Right after checking in it was raining. Guys in the pro shop said it’s up to me to cancel or wait if the weather will get better. Decided to call in to cancel and the guy name Scott picked up and told me to call golf now for the refund. Did call golfnow 2 days later, customer service put me on hold and called the course to confirm but whoever picked up at the pro shop replied to golfnow that they were still open on that rainy day and denied to refund.

great course, but weird golfers
the course is great and the pro shop staff are amazing. the only problem is there is no official starter on the first box and so some groups start super late and play super slow. you can get really help up during the round. we played a round recently and it took nearly 2.5 hours to play 9 the round ending up being just shy of 4 hours and 45 minutes. i can play almost 27 holes at any other course in that amount of time. don't get me wrong the greens are pure, the fairway are tight but fair and the staff are friendly and recognize even if you only play there once a week

Early morning round
Had a 6:50 tee time so pace of play wasn't an issue. Perfect day to play and the course was in great shape. It was a little wet and soft so it played a litlle longer than the yardage suggest.
