Ledges Golf Club

It is a public course that is handling the Covid 19 as they can. Staff is very friendly and professional. Grounds crew do a great job and are aware of approaching golfers and stay out of the area of play.

Try it you will like it.

I often rate a course based on primarily the greens. The Ledges have really nice greens, and it’s an experience tee to green. The staff, those you see and those you don’t are dedication making your golf experience a joy. Target golf- driver doesn’t need to come out on several scoring holes. Clubhouse staff very friendly and adhere strictly to Ovid 19 protocols.

I always enjoy playing there. The conditions were great,fantastic greens. Every course has a different gimmick for the flag/ cup combination due to covid compliance regulations. My only knock on the course is that I wish they could use a better, more consistent method. Several holes the ball wouldn’t fit in the cup at all so it was a challenge to ascertain weather or not the putt was good. Cause for debate if you’re having a match.

That’s not enough to keep me away though,I love playing there and plan a return trip very soon. I can’t recommend this course to my friends enough, that’s how much I enjoy it there.

Course is in excellent condition, although a few of the greens had many ball marks that had not been repaired. The course should hand out repair tools and show golfers how to use them. They have upgraded their carts with GPS, which is helpful, but also aggravating. If you stray into a restricted zone, the cart shuts down forward motion and the monitor will instruct you to back out. Occasionally, it will tell you to return to the cart path when you are on the cart path.

The woods are all overgrown, so any shot that might stray that way will pretty much be lost.

Lastly, many of the pin placements were located in difficult positions , resulting in a few 3-putts!

Nice course, have always liked playing there but they shouldn’t charge for a cart because you can’t drive anywhere. 95 degrees, humid, my cart shuts down and tells me to return to path when I’m in the middle of the cart path. Ball is in the middle of fairway on one of the few holes that’s supposedly not cart path only and the cart shuts down. It’s certainly not worth $57 to play there. This is the last time I’ll play there, way overpriced for 17 holes and 1 thats 60 yards.

Grass on the fairways has been allowed to grow too thick which does not allow for any roll, shortening most shots by at least 10 - 15%. When Ledges first opened, the fescue grass along the edges of the 2nd cut was extremely long, causing many players to lose too many golf balls. Apparently management wanted the "links" look but this is not a links course. Many players did not return because of it. Now the course has decided to again allow the fescue to grow to a ridiculous length. We won't be back soon.

I wish I had taken pictures of the course covered with nickel sized hail stones and the sand traps all turned into water hazards; it was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.. Unfortunately the place had no choice but to stop all play and it will be a several days before the water recedes. The course is great and the Staff are very cooperative. We will be going back to use our "Hail-Check". Thanks to GolfNOW for making the cancellation quick and painless, much appreciated. Michael

I’ve played here often over the last few years and really enjoy this course. The course is in great condition. Ledges offers a great layout with a nice variety of challenges. It is one of the best in Western Mass.

Keep the ball in play and easy with the putter on those greens . Will be back

We did tee off early so the pace of play was very good. Three guys played it in 3 hours 8 min. Some of the course was wet but not unplayable. Always like playing there will go back a few more times this year.

Well kept course, fairways and greens are awesome. We will be back it's worth the 1.2 hr drive.

The fairways were cut short, the adjacent rough wasn't too long, and like usual at Ledges, there were some areas of long grass where you ball could be easily lost. The greenside bunkers were hard, and difficult to play out of. The greens were extremely fast, fastest that I've played on this year.

The personnel in the Pro Shop strictly enforced the pandemic rules, one person inside at a time, and you must wear a mask.

It was a beautiful day, and as always, the scenery around the course was great.
