Golfer Reviews
Can golf now make its courses have warning icons anytime within. 2 weeks of aerification?
We are all very busy, and many of us find last minute opportunities to play. It would be extremely great customer service if Golfnow asked its courses to report aerification thru the next 2 weeks after the course does the maintenance. A simple warning icon would at least allow the customer to call the course and make up their mind based on what the starter says.
I always enjoy Los Amigos and with the exception of the extremely bumpy greens, course conditions were overall a 4 out 5. Yet, it's a real let down when you get there and you face these greens after you know you could no longer get a refund or have any recourse.
Sunday funday.
The course overall was average. The atmosphere was casual as they were not busy. Had to wait 20 minutes to join a group on the first tee! It was a very slow Sunday I assume. Enjoyed the pace as we finished in 4 hours and were never rushed and rarely had to wait. The fairways were good, the greens were better.
I'll be back.
Easter Round
The course was in very good shape. Green fairways and greens were rolling very good and smooth. The course was not too crowded the day we played and we made great time. Very nice facilities and driving range and putting greens.
Conditions
First time on this course and except for slow play it was all good..
Any day on a golf course can be fun...and for our first time out this year it felt great....
course in great shape
Have not played here in years because it was in bad shape heard that they really put a lot of work into course so I thought I would give it a try and was glad I did the course was in great shape with fast greens it was nice to see .
PACE OF PLAY
This track is one of the nicer tracks in Los Angeles for a muni course. Only thing it suffers from is pace of place. Waiting on tee boxes for 20 minutes to tee off is just unbearable. Then waiting on each fairway to hit for 20 minutes is absurd. We tee'ed off at 1020 AM, and finished 16 (when we left) at 3:30 PM. Over 5 hours to play 16 holes is a joke. Would have been a full 6 hour round.
Challenging
This course is becoming one of my favorites. Course is in great shape, great range for practice, wide area to practice chipping and putting.
Great facility that was recently given a major face lift.
Great driving range, putting greens, and chipping area. All new carts, diner, and 19th hole. The course has great character with wide fairways. Great place to really enjoy a round of golf with an all new facility. Pace of play was excellent and everybody seemed to be having a good time. Very enjoyable place.
Good course
Very pleasant, challenging and well kept. Worth the drive & the price
administrative
Greatgreat course they're really but it up to post and it enjoy playing there great place to be
This a nice course but the greens are tricky.
This is nice course, in good shape. An easy course with tough greens.
Good, not Great
My day did not start off so hot, as I walked in, and the guy at the cash register seemed almost offended that I interrupted whatever he was doing so that I could get my cart and pay for some range balls. Outside, there were two areas with carts, with little separation between the two, so it would have been nice if he had told me where I was supposed to get my cart from. Luckily, someone who had played there before told me that I was in the returned carts, or my cart probably would have ran out of juice.
Once I began to play, though, things went really well. I started off as a single, and played for first 8 holes like that before catching up with a threesome who immediately asked me if I would like to go ahead and join them. I did, and they were a fun group of guys to play with.
The fairways and rough are not bad at this course, but the greens are horrendous. Multiple divots not repaired, which only makes the greens that much tougher to putt on.
It cost me 20 bucks with a cart, so it's a good value, but the course has nothing on Rio Hondo. But if you desire a cheaper muni course, that's quite a bit less difficult, with some still fun holes, you'll enjoy Los Amigos.
This Course needs ambassador.
I was a single and had a five some in front of me, they didn't let me play through until the 10th hole , even that they had a attitude. if there was a players assist may be that would of helped.
the course is in good condition after remodeling.
i haven't play this course for a while, but the course is in a better condition after the remodeling. i will definitely recommend it to my friends.
