The Legends at Orange Lake Resort
About
Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee boasts four different golf courses, two championship courses and two nine-hole layouts. Undoubtedly, the most popular course is the Legends. This Arnold Palmer-designed layout is like getting two courses in one. The front nine is a traditional links that is wide-open and windy, which makes club selection particularly challenging. It is a good warm-up for the even more demanding back nine. On the backside, you will be playing through mature oaks and towering pine trees that border the lush, winding fairways. It is quite a feat to successfully maneuver your tee shots through the narrow openings of the trees, which gives it the feel of a course in North Carolina. The signature hole is the 13th. This daunting hole features a large green that is shielded by a rock wall, surrounded by tall grass, and protected in back by a sand trap.

Bad
Don't waste your money.
1/2 the greens were missing grass, some about 1/2 of the green was gone. Fairways with bare spots everywhere. Greens that did have grass had lots of weed that made the service uneven.
Very nice course. Best of the two at Orange Lake.
Drought has affected all the courses in Central Florida. Legends was in pretty good shape thought. Some of the greens have been damaged by disease , although they are definitely playable. I think pin placement could be better thought out on many. I very much enjoyed this course.
Another Integrity disaster
Course was awesome before Integrity golf management took over. Now the place is a shadow of its former self. Stay away until another management company takes over and actually cares about golf.
Missed Opportunity
As a resident of Orlando, I understand expected course conditions year round. Unfortunately, dry winter or not, this course was in bad shape! The greens were very inconsistent and very spotty in terms of grass on the greens. Course conditions do NOT warrant a $60 green fee. More like $20. I have no intentions of returning anytime soon. Orange County National is close by and a far better value for the money.
Great location and is user friendly
I've played The Legends at Orange Lake in the past and it was in excellent shape, but unfortunately this year it was just average. The lack of rain has been a factor, but the price for the round was certainly in line. Staff were super accommodating.
Very poor condition
This is no more than a $30.00 course if that ,the greens are dried up .what is intergrity company doing . Waist of money Sad
NEED WATER ASAP
I have played this course numerous times and been quite happy with it. However we are in the middle of a 3 month or so drought here. Fairways are poor and every green has some part of it than had been lost. Some with major portions. Also the greens are as hard as a rock and unless you can spin the ball its rolling off. I have not played anywhere else recently but I have to assume these issues are happening at other courses as well. Would not recommend this course until there is significant rainfall. Once that happens, have at it
Beautiful course
We played this course only once before and that was 3 years ago. We remembered enjoying it at that time, but this time we had a greater appreciation for it's beauty. The layout is challenging with lots of water and the course was in great condition, considering the current drought here. The staff here are very friendly. We would highly recommend this course and are looking forward to playing it again today.
Bad Shape
The layout is great, but the course is in terrible, terrible shape - tee boxes, fairways, and greens. I've been playing here for 15 years. This used to be an excellent course, but no longer. The only reason I played here was convenience as I was staying at the resort. Even at the discounted price, it was still too much. On the plus side - course wasn't busy, so pace was very good.
Great course
Great course. The fairway, the greens, not a bare spot in sight. Not to wet not super hard and dry either. the only thing more I could have asked for would have been a friendlier staff. Its not that they were unfriendly, just not friendly, rather indifferent about everything from the pro shop to the starter.
disappointing
Orange Lake Legends, played 4/11/2017, I have never been disappointed in this course, until today!
The current Reviews show it as a 3.5 star. Not one of the holes would I consider in good condition.
The Fairways are wore down and full of weeds, the greens are burnt and lumpy the Tee box’s look more like a horse pasture. I have been playing this course for over 10 years and have never seen it in such deplorable condition.
Avoid at All Cost-Arnie Would Cry If He Saw the Course Condition
Conditions were one of the worst I've ever golfed. The pro said the course conditions are pretty fair due to the recent rain which most likely means they do not water the course. Positives - Good and fun course layout with 3 Par 5's on front and only 1 on the back. Par 37-35. Staff friendly and pace of play great since no one was on the course. We found out for good reason. Course conditions were just atrocious! Lots of bare spots all over the fairway and even some areas on the greens. Greens were brown due to lack of watering and rock hard. Couldn't even hold the green with a sand wedge. It's really a shame because it's supposed to be the only Arnold Palmer "Signature" course in Florida. I would avoid this course.
Spring Break trip with my son
I booked this course based on price and location. Nice layout and course conditions. Weaved through a large timeshare complex but was never a problem or distraction.
Less than Perfect
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course is in very poor condition. Very little turf on the fairways (mostly weeds). Greens are ragged and very uneven. The course could be great but maintenance has been ignored for too long. I would not pay 20 bucks to play here much less 90 bucks again
Pace of play
Course has a great layout. If you roll them in fairway it is a good course. Greens were in good shape. Pace of play was horrendous. No ranger on the course. Really depressing playing a 5 hour round.
Do NOT Play until they grow some grass!
Very Dissapointed! I have played this course several times and was simply appalled at the lack of grass in all areas. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in dismal condition. All the other Orlando courses were pristine. However, The staff, clubhouse and amenities are first class! The cart girl was attentive; perhaps the best cart girl in Orlando.
Home course at resort
Course is in worst condition we have ever seen it.
