About
Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee boasts four different golf courses, two championship courses and two nine-hole layouts. Undoubtedly, the most popular course is the Legends. This Arnold Palmer-designed layout is like getting two courses in one. The front nine is a traditional links that is wide-open and windy, which makes club selection particularly challenging. It is a good warm-up for the even more demanding back nine. On the backside, you will be playing through mature oaks and towering pine trees that border the lush, winding fairways. It is quite a feat to successfully maneuver your tee shots through the narrow openings of the trees, which gives it the feel of a course in North Carolina. The signature hole is the 13th. This daunting hole features a large green that is shielded by a rock wall, surrounded by tall grass, and protected in back by a sand trap.

orange lake legends
Played there yesterday as a single and got paired with a great couple and had a great time at this course . The cart girls were great . Took 4 hrs to play this course .
Average at best.......
I play a lot of courses in the area and this one is average at best for the price. The greens and fairways are not in the great condition I have read on this site. The ranger approached us on the 4th hole and says abruptly " IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR CART" We both look at each other and said no we are fine and just waiting to hit as we had just caught up to the group in front of us. The ranger stares at us for a moment and then shrugs his shoulders and says " WELL THEY ARE A TWOSOME AND YOU ARE A TWOSOME, WHY DONT YOU PAIR UP WITH THEM" and shrugs his shoulders again and drives away. Needless to say we did join up a few holes later when we caught up to them on the teebox and then proceeded to wait a few minutes for every shot there after. Painfully slow and never saw the ranger again.
Don't think I'l be returning there anytime soon.
Great course when found at the right price.
I've played here many times and love when I can find an affordable tee time. The only downfall to this course can be the pace of play. I would still definitely recommend this course. It's always a blast. You can shoot well but can also struggle.
Great times!!!
The pace of play was slow. We had a twosome in front of us that came off the back nine. There was a single behind us and a twosome behind him. Think the course could manage the pace a little better. The Bud Light had a February born on date and didn't taste good.

Golfing Delight
This course is very pleasing to the eye.
Well manicured in great detail. yet don't let its beauty fool you.
This Course is challenging from its large undulating greens protected by bunkers to the rolling fairways that have strategically placed Sand traps and waste areas.
Water ponds are located on 11 holes for some camera taking views and scorecard havoc.
A test for all level of golfers with 5 tee blocks for each hole.
Great course
The course was in great shape and we played 18 holes and thoroughly enjoyed it. This was a repeat play for us and we would come back again.
A course with a variety of hole layouts.
Course was in excellent shape for this time of year. Greens rolled true with both greens and fairways well maintained. Plenty of sand traps, numerous waste bunkers, and water ponds make this an outstanding course to play.
Course in Excellent Condition and Very Challenging
The course was in Excellent Condition and I was paired up with 2 other golfers. The pace of play was a bit slow at times but overall was very enjoyable and would definitely play there again next time I'm in Orlando.
Great course
Plan was to play 18 holes but the mother of all storms hit us after 10 holes. Course was in superb condition. Greens very receptive and true. Staff had no quibble giving us a rain check for nine holes which we used the next day.
Enjoyable
Very enjoyable afternoon of golf. Pace of play kept moving throughout round. Riding cart ran out of power on the 16th hole but with the gps was able to contact the proshop and they had a new cart out to us before the group following us caught up. Played this course again 2 days later and had another enjoyable afternoon of golf. Good risk/ reward course.
Great value
Got this course on golf now for $49 including a dog and beer. Was a great course and a must play for that price.

This is 4th time play in this course.Nice Course.Somewhat challenging.Overall condition is good.But course is very very crowded,so almost every
hole we must wait.
Great value for the money
Golf carts had full GPS capabilities. Course was in great shape. Pace of play was a little slow, but I was on vacation and the weather was beautiful, so it really didn't matter. I would recommend this course. I preferredmit to the Reserve course.

Nice course. Only problem was the fee was to include a free beer with lunch but they would not honor the free beer part.
Exceptional grooming
Played from the white (senior) tees. Very fair distances. Course was in exceptional condition. Would play there again.
Always a challange
Course was in great shape and had great weather.
GPS did not work, notified pro shop on the 3rd tee. By the time we got to the green they had a new cart for me. We had to wait on a few holes but nothing too bad. the greens were a little slow but rolled true.

Played the legends many times and today it was in the best condition ever! I travel from Ireland every year. Iy was also good to see that they have tightened up on dress code.

Lovely course, we got excellent value for money. Only minor complaint was the slow play, players in front didn't seem to have basic knowledge of course etiquette.

The course layout is somewhat interesting. To call the first nine 'links style' is misleading. Pace of play should definitely be improved (4 hrs 50 min). The course mgmt obviously does not pay attention. Greens are rather on the slow side and a decent cut/roll would definitely improve the putting experience (and probably allow more birdies). 25USD via golfnow is acceptable but not more. Course maintenance (fairways, tee boxes) is inappropriate in comparison with other resort courses (e.g. Reunion, Champ' gate...).
