The Legends at Orange Lake Resort
About
Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Kissimmee boasts four different golf courses, two championship courses and two nine-hole layouts. Undoubtedly, the most popular course is the Legends. This Arnold Palmer-designed layout is like getting two courses in one. The front nine is a traditional links that is wide-open and windy, which makes club selection particularly challenging. It is a good warm-up for the even more demanding back nine. On the backside, you will be playing through mature oaks and towering pine trees that border the lush, winding fairways. It is quite a feat to successfully maneuver your tee shots through the narrow openings of the trees, which gives it the feel of a course in North Carolina. The signature hole is the 13th. This daunting hole features a large green that is shielded by a rock wall, surrounded by tall grass, and protected in back by a sand trap.

Spoilt by greed
This was indeed a beautiful course and I was very excited and looking forward to playing it. The first hiccup was that we couldn't play as a 2 ( my husband is a learner but still reasonable but would have been intimidated by playing with better players). With this being the case we were moved from a 8.53 tee time to 10.18... With an hour and a half to fill...not good. Eventually we got out on this course to find the play excruciatingly slow...2.30... And we had only played 8 holes. Why do American golf courses insist on overbooking and teaming up individuals that would rather not play together? We couldn't bear it any more...and came off. Sad, because the course was amazing and facilities were good...however we felt like we had wasted a day of our holidays...so won't be back.
Nice course
Nice course wouldn't pay full price to play
Drinks are a little pricey
Course condition was very good
Course great for early season tune-up.
Though the greens were small, course was long and wide enough to work out kinks after a winter layoff. Found some greens in need of attention, but for the most part were in decent shape. The municipal airport right next to the course adds some entertainment.
the course is very clean and real good shape for this time of the year
keep if on the fairways and it is easy if you go off it will eat you up
Enjoyed the day
First time at this course, very expensive but you can see where every penny is put into the course. Overall, I can't say i've played a nicer course.
Played golf
Played legends with my son today great course only let down was pace of play
Fore Right
Great course. A little pricey. But overall good time
great course for the price
Great set of rental clubs great service beautiful course.
A good overall design/layout
Very pleased with the condition but like most of the courses in the area can become over booked taking at least 5 hours for a 4ball
Excellent Vacation Option
I loved this course. It was a little windy, but I like playing in wind so I didn't mind.
We paid $65 (+fees) thru golfnow for a an 11:24 tee time. Best bang for the buck I think! Our 2some was paired with another 2some and it was a lot of fun.
Course is in great shape--challenging, but yet mostly forgiving; however, there are few tough approach shots to carry water. Nothing long, but windy conditions made it a challenge.
I believe it was much more user friendly than the Orange Lake Reserve course and is in much better condition. Well worth the extra money.
The staff at the Sports Bar was very unfriendly, but you'll have that. The cart girl sold us stuff as we were getting off the green instead of the next tee box which slowed down the group behind us, but that was minor.
Overall, this course was awesome and I can't wait to play it again now that I know the layout!
Over all condition of Orange Lake Legon
The course was in very good condition, Fun to play. Will play it again. Staff was quite friendly and very helpfull.
the course was in great shape
this course is a gem and has to be seen and played by golfers of all classes the price is high but worth it
Great course, slow pace
I enjoyed the course, but the pace was slow. The GPS in cart kept beeping every 5 minutes while telling us to to keep up with group in front of us even though we were ready and waiting to hit. It became very irritating. A ranger would work better than a computer telling the wrong group to keep up. Would play it again.
OK round BUT....
Been playing courses in Florida for years now and have never been turned down having a rider. If it had not been prepaid I would have left and NOT played. I have even paid to have a rider come along many times but this course said no. Very disappointing.
Slow Slow Slow!!!
Nice course and nice design. But over booked with too many tee times that can't possibly keep the flow of your round going. My 4some waited with 2 others on the Par 3, 3rd hole teeing ground while a foursome was still putting on the green. Complaints went unresolved. NO rangers. Too much money to WAIT on every tee!! Play when you can afford up to 6 hours of your time........
Great Place To Golf in Kissimmee
Great golf course, little difficult with so many bunkers. Great Staff. Pace of play slow
slow play
pace was fine for two holes, then reached par 3 third hole. Five groups on the hole (one on green and four on the tee). had to call the pro shop to get a ranger. total time of round 5:40
Beautiful course
This course was beautiful and well maintained. I would definitely go back again. The round took over 5 hours because it was very busy. But other than that it was wonderful. We had a great time.
Orange lake legends
Second time playing this lovely course. Each hole is unique. Great condition!
Only complaint was they let a walk-on in my place even though I was 5 minutes early for tee time???
Had fun none the less!!
