Bloomingdale Golfers Club
About
Bloomingdale Golfers Club sits on 220 acres of natural terrain with 100-year-old oaks, natural marsh preserves teeming with wildlife, fields of flowers, and thirteen lakes. Here you'll find a true Golfers Club -- no pools, no tennis courts, just Florida Golf at its finest. Tree lined fairways, pampas grass, massive waste areas, deep grass bunkers and contoured greens tempt golfers to play a round. Golf Digest described Bloomingdale Golfers Club as having the best collection of par 5's on one golf course as they have seen. Bloomingdale, which has been ranked #9 in Florida by Golfweek Magazine, is dedicated to preserving the natural appeal of the land. Course residents include a bald eagle, several sandhill cranes, sixty species of semi-rare birds, and the ever-present raccoon...the course trademark.

Play elsewhere
Where to begin. It’s been many years since playing here. First, there’s not a working bathroom anywhere on the facility except a porta potty. Second, there’s not one drop of drinking water anywhere on the course. Third, the day I played the place was a swamp and they still had sprinklers running. Half the holes were cart path only. It was just aerated and yet no one said a word in the pro shop. Greens awful. Fairways wet and no roll. No ranger anywhere to be found and at one point there were 4 groups on one hole. Won’t be back unless something big changes.
Money pit
On the hottest day in Tampa history my group went out for an enjoyable afternoon of golf. Right off the bat we were disappointed by the fact there was not a Starter on a jam packed day, and our disappointment continued when we watched a three cart six-some tee off around 10:30 am, two groups ahead of us. We proceeded to wait at every hole as the cart warned us we were already behind pace after only the second hole. Did I mention it was hot? The cart girl came by on the third hole, she had no water and no Gatorade. There was NO water jugs anywhere on the course, there was one bathroom on the course that was out of order. Play continued to slow and took 3 hours to play front nine! There was no Marshall at any time to try to speed up play, but as soon as we got to the clubhouse there he was sitting in his cart without a care in the world. Went into bar area to grab water where there was a jug!…that was empty! The bartender kindly gave us ice water. There markups are worse than an airport, $3.50 for a regular sized snickers bar. The back nine was more of the same, except the cart girl never came out, it was even hotter, with no opportunity or offering for drinking water or ice even once in another 2.5 hours of extremely slow, Marshall-less golf. This course took our money and provided zero service or accommodations to make the round enjoyable in the brutal heat.
Nice course, good value
Played a few times and the pace is usually good, however there are a lot of guys with their girlfriend, college kids, etc who don’t respect pace of play or allow others to play through. Which is annoying since if they did we would both enjoy it more.
Otherwise, the course is nice and prices are reasonable. Friendly staff.
Consistent
This course is usually in good shape (except after rain, does hit dry out well at all!) and it was again well maintained. Greens are rolling nice. Still a few “ugly” ones out there but NONE are bad! But the same problem exist,
it is SLOW!!!!
No Marshall riding the course and the amount of newbies not using etiquette, you can get stuck behind a 5 some with a case of beer dropping 2 or 3 balls just having fun that won’t let your group, clearly more experienced, playing from the back waiting on you for the last 3 holes; play through; or may not even know they are suppose to.
So; if you have time to play it’s a great place for a fair price. If you have things to do, maybe consider trying it on another day.
Great course, no drinking water
The course is challenging and in great shape, especially given the summer rain. Greens are a bit slow but not too bad. There is no drinking water on the entire course. It would be great if drinking water was available where the bathrooms are.
