Bloomingdale Golfers Club
About
Bloomingdale Golfers Club sits on 220 acres of natural terrain with 100-year-old oaks, natural marsh preserves teeming with wildlife, fields of flowers, and thirteen lakes. Here you'll find a true Golfers Club -- no pools, no tennis courts, just Florida Golf at its finest. Tree lined fairways, pampas grass, massive waste areas, deep grass bunkers and contoured greens tempt golfers to play a round. Golf Digest described Bloomingdale Golfers Club as having the best collection of par 5's on one golf course as they have seen. Bloomingdale, which has been ranked #9 in Florida by Golfweek Magazine, is dedicated to preserving the natural appeal of the land. Course residents include a bald eagle, several sandhill cranes, sixty species of semi-rare birds, and the ever-present raccoon...the course trademark.

Very Disappointing
We we’re told at check in that we we’re in front of a men’s group, but we’ve have lots of time. We we’re playing close to the group ahead, and when we arrived at 5, a group (of the men) had cut in ahead of us, and there were several other men waiting to go. They told us our only option was to skip the hole, to get ahead of the men, or wait a long time, until all of the group played.
Very rude treatment to players who had travelled a distance to play Bloomingdale, and were looking forward to our day there.
NEVER AGAIN!
Bloomingdale
Decent course for the money. Over time the greens and fairways have improved but every year in winter the grass around the greens goes dormant and you are chipping off thin lies and dirt. How hard would it be to overseed??
Good course at a fair price(for this time of year)
Firstly, the young man at the pro shop was outstanding (his politeness, his demeanor, his greeting). I regret not getting his name but he did mention that he had just recently come to work in the pro shop from some other job at the course; maybe the cart barn..
The course was in good shape considering how many rounds get played there at this time of year. The greens were a little slow and grainy but putted true. Shame, shame on the golfers who don’t fix their ball marks and divots. Since play was a little slow I fixed at least 3 to 5 on most holes.
The rough is another case altogether. I’m no talking about the way out in right or left field rough but the rough right alongside the greens/green side bunkers. It’s scary enough trying to lob one over the bunker to a tight pin or any pin for that matter but when you’re hitting off compacted dirt it’s more likely to land in another zip code. Seriously, since I was playing alone, on two holes I kicked the ball into the bunker and played on from there. No sense getting upset. It was too nice a day. I had fun and will return.
Fun Course to Play
The first impression as we checked in was that the staff was friendly and helpful. Exiting the pro shop, you'll find a large practice area for warming up and getting your game ready for the course. The day we played the practice area was being used by many more people then were going out to play. It appears they have a program to gain unlimited access to the practice area which apparently many in the area utilize. Even with the heavy usage, the hitting area was in good shape with plenty of grass from which to hit.
The course layout is enjoyable, and the conditions were decent. Our foursome all enjoyed the variety of hole layouts, it's not just straight back and forth fairways. You had to get the ball into position in order to navigate the doglegs, which are plentiful. A little course knowledge is helpful, especially on 9 and 18, and some red stakes demarking the water hazard in front of 9 would be helpful.
Overall, it was a nice experience and we'll be back again in the very near future. If you get the opportunity, I definitely recommend you give it a try.
Can't believe it
We had to play the back nine first today , not a problem we get to the 17th and 18th and a lot of golfers are on carts going to different tees did not know what was going on but when we got to number one tee we were behind two fore sums that were not ahead of us on the back nine then a two sum pulled up to us and said that they got kicked off the back nine so that a league could have a shotgun start. I would have expected to be told that when checking in if the Pase of play is slow (and it was) we might not be able to finish the first nine holes as did the three groups behind us , very poor on pro shop !
Nice course
overall a nice course with a good layout. some straight holes and some dog legs, some water too so something for everyone.
greens were in great condition.
we will play there again
Starter need to pay More attention !
Started was not available for 1 hour. , We waited to get in line!!
So we finally went by ourselves to the back 9 .!!!!
9 holes in 3hours. Tryng to get a raincheck for back nine.
9 holes in 3hours. pace of play was really slow, could only play 9 holes in about 3 hours. Asked course for a raincheck on back nine, they said they could not do anything and that I should contact Golfnow, which turned out to be very difficult to do, could not easily find a contact number for customer service, to date I have not been able to speak to someone at Golfnow.
Bloomingdale golf course
Due to holidays, pace was very slow. Had to discontinue after 9 holes..
Pace. Of. Play.
Wednesday afternoon - 10 people on Tee Box #1 as “3 separate groups” was not the prettiest site to see. Head pro was extremely rude when I asked for an alternative start (off of #10). Multiple groups drinking rather than golfing. Place has gone down hill due to rampant conditions from the 100s of PDP players (player development program). As long as they are cashing in that cow, the course will never come to life as it once did. Always a fun layout, and some of the greatest people I’ve met and played with.
