The stunning fourth. Tricky, strategic and exhilarating. Yet fatal on the left side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eight. Bold 3-par of 204. You’ll need a fine tee shot to keep the wolf at the door. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eleven. Solid tee-to-green test. Hitting and putting this green are the keys. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Thirteen: Wedging into a green pared down to essentials: a frontal bunker, a narrowing surface, then a big backside falloff. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Beautiful course
I love this course. The condition is always amazing. It is the nicest public course in Lancaster County. Greens are difficult with pin placement and a lot of break.
beautiful
Everything on the course was as close to perfect as I have seen it here.
One Time
This course was really really nice. Exceptional conditions. Greens a bit smaller than I expected but great condition. Due to the undulating fairways it could definitely use some target markers or standing yardage markers. Really like the idea of bottled water every other hole. Although a bit of a drive it was definitely worth it!
Nice layout in Amish Country
A little ways from Philly, but found the course very pleasing and in great shape. It was pretty busy on our day as most were trying to beat the rain that was coming and did arrive by hole 17. Lots of elevation changes, rolling hills, greens were good. The staff and starter were very helpful and friendly.
Interesting first hole as it is a blind tee shot and hope the ones at the bottom have cleared the landing area.
Challenging and great value
I hated this course the first few times I played as a beginner, but now that I am more experienced, I appreciate the great value of this challenging but fair course. It can be "easy" if you keep it in play, but the thick rough is penalizing and the greens are quick and undulating. Lots of elevation changes and the rolling farm views are gorgeous. If you want to challenge your skills, but not pay too much to get beat up, this is the course. It's always in great shape, one of my nearby favorites.
Money and Time Well Spent
I read a few reviews that described this course as good value. The reviews are spot on. There are oh so many good points that you forget the bad. Good price, good practice area, polite staff, some challenging holes>>> just when you are about to say how easy the course is, lush rough and nice fairway., a few beautiful holes.
Not a course to practice your bunker play though and make sure you don't go there on an empty stomach.
A must play
Easily the best conditioned course in the area, always in perfect shape. Every hole is different and keeps your attention. Tons of undulation throughout the course which adds to the difficulty. Staff is always friendly, particularly the young tall one. I would also like to give a shout out to the ranger, always friendly and does a great job or keeping the pace going, particularly on weekends. Only knock on the course is they don't sell boos, so make sure you bring your own.
Great course
Great course in Amish Country. Many elevation changes and uneven lies. Water/waste in-play on numerous holes. It Has been a rough transition into spring around here so the fairways and greens were still a bit fuzzy, understandably so. Pins were in tough locations and greens were firm/fast.
No beer on-site so byob if that’s your thing.
Enjoyable Golf in Amish Country
Excellent warm weather, and the first really nice golf day this spring season. Course is always in great shape from tees to greens, and it's truly an enjoyable layout in the Amish countryside that feels different on every hole. Many hillsides, a lot of up and down. This is actually one of my favorites courses in the area, the greens are very challenging and can run fast. There are many more positives than negatives, but here are the areas that need improvement:
1. Always a starter but never a ranger. The pace can get very slow at times because nobody ever monitors after the first hole.
2. Sand traps need more work and better sand, especially fairway bunkers.
3. Front counter staff is usually NOT friendly. Frankly, often they're rude, especially the young tall guy... Need to act like they actually care about the golf customer.
4. Carts are older, and they don't have enough on very busy days, making people wait.
5. Nearly every tee box is uneven ground.
6. Greens keeper can sometimes get a little crazy with pin placement. Greens run nice, but are extremely slopey, and can be VERY hard depending on pin.
7. 18th hole is tough due to the water and hazards; watch out!
Great course
The course was in great shape. Greens were fast and true. I can only imagine how it will be when the weather warms up.
Can't beat it for early March
The greens are quicker than any other course around for winter time. Always a challenge, the course drains well after a rain or snow.
Perfect for February
Enjoyed the round on this well-kept challenging layout.
Still very early, new grass not in and a few wet spots after snow two days earlier. Would always recommend this course for design, staff and value.
