Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Harvey 9 Course

I went as a total beginner. The course layout was a little difficult to understand at first but once you get going from hole to hole it’s pretty easy

Golf pro started my day off wrong by hounding me for paper reciept after i showed him confirmation on my phone. My buddy that was with me felt like he was being unfair with us as well. Then he proceeded to hound us as we were playing our round. The staff in clubhouse was awesome and very welcoming. Would go again just to play 9 and catch a beer or two after.

This course is great to play. The fairways and greens are in great shape. One can tell that the crew takes pride in maintaining the golf course.

Stonebridge - Harvey 9 is usually a great option if you want to get a quick 9 hole in. 10-$15 with a cart included. Can’t beat that right? Well this is the last of about 5 times now where I have booked on GolfNow only to find out that there is a “tournament”. Call before hand? Well I’ve learned to do that, except this time no answer (called 5 times). Why? Well I walk in and the young lady that’s usually in the pro shop is chit chatting at the bar. Luckily, tee times are available. “That’ll be $26” I go back to look online (where it’s $15) and magically tee times start to disappear. (20 minutes ago they were there). Usually they blame GolfNow for not updating the tee time availabilities, but this morning that lie proved to be not true. GolfNow magically updates the tee times once I inquire about them? As I see her clicking away on the computer. She even skipped over one of the morning tee times and it only vanished after I inquired about it. Hmmm I guess GolfNow forgot to cancel that one too huh? I understand 1 or 2 mistakes but this is like the 5th time that this has happened. Usually golf. Courses (like Timberland) will try to make things right for you. Not this place (lady), no care what so ever about the customer. pretty good course honestly, but I’m done with this place. End rant.

We just like to play different courses, some are dogs;

some are great. This was a great surprise because we could book four players for 9.99 plus each, which was around 58. for all four. That's for nine holes, when we got there the guys wanted 18 so the extra cost 58 each couple and the course was great.

Water is a big part of the challenge of the Stonebridge. course.. Plus it’s fun.. Great fairways, very nice greens and even drinking water on the course too. Really a great value at $43 to play 18 holes with cart..

There were no greens which you could putt on. All are covered with a hairy fungus/grass which makes it impossible. I know what I get from this course, but this was worse than ever before.
