Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

Work was being done, but seems to be on the right track.
Cobb's Glen "Country Club"
Liked the course layout. Course was in decent condition although the greens looked to have some sort of fungus. Driving range currently being renovated so that wasn't available. Basic off course clubhouse setup. This can hardly be considered a country club that anyone would pay to be a member of. The pool, tennis, pickle ball area, has clearly been neglected for years and are all unusable. Clubhouse is basic and outdated.
Continues to improve
Most of the greens are in decent shape, but a few still need work. Very friendly staff.
Good condition for the amount of rain, except greens.
The fairways were in great shape, but many of the greens and tee boxes were in rough condition. Lots of patches of dead spots.
Group play
The course was ok but the greens had black spots, like a fungus all over some of them. It is not worth 60.00. I was very disappointed in the shape for that price. This was the last day of our five day trip and was the most expensive of the five courses we played and worst shape. Would not recommend for this price.
Nice course but challenging greens
Lovely course with a varying difficulty. My only complaint would be some greens are just downright impossible for mid-tier players. Could have been the pin locations but a challenging course nevertheless. Still very much enjoyed it.
Past it’s prime
I’m sure this course is better once the grass has greened up during the spring and summer but the facilities in the pro shop and clubhouse are old and the course does not drain well on certain holes. The man at the front counter was very friendly and courteous. After the round the snack bar was closed at 2:30 and there was no place to even get water.
Great course
Couldn't have been happier with round. Everything was in great shape and all was good!
