First up $20 cart fee for a single if you use online reservations that do not let you ride. Because the fairways and rough are so poorly maintained / watered, perfectly good shots can be lost in the weeds. Some of the greens have a lot of slope and the pins are placed on the slope where the ball cannot stop as the grass gets stepped on. The course is short and the front 9 is very short from all tees and should only be played from the back tees except shorter hitters will not make it to the fairway.

Good: convenient, ok price, kind of a cool layout. Bad: fairways, tee boxes, carts, bunkers are terrible, Go somewhere else.

Everything is a little bit tired here. The carts are disgusting and not kept clean. But the tee boxes and greens were decent and the wildlife was amazing!

It’s hard to keep up with some of the great golf courses in our area but this was a fun day and I would play it again.

Course layout gives challenging targets and test your skills. Pay attention to the green tiers and fairway slopes.

If you are looking for a fun day of golf, consider Boulder Oaks. Staff was great and course is in good shape, when you stay on it. Natural landscape off the course or when you duff your drive...it is rough, as expected.

The staff was very friendly. The problem is with the course conditions. The fairways are pretty bare with hardly any grass on them. The bunkers are just dirt. The greens are not smooth at all. For the price I would try somewhere else.

i have played this course many times and the last 2 times ive played here they charge an extra $6 because i play as a single. the advertized prices are like $32 to walk and $39 to ride. so why is it $45 for me? the price range on this websight should be $32 to $45 for a single.

The tee boxes and fairways are very rough which is evident as a player drives a cart down a fairway. Too many gopher and ground squirrel holes and weeds align the golf course. It is a green course generally with the best playing conditions on the greens only, but not around the greens. The slope of greens and pin placement can be very challenging. It would help tremendously if fairways and adjacent rough areas were weeded. Tee boxes, fairways and adjacent grounds are in need of serious repair. Carts are older and lack windshields which is a problem as many times cart paths are dirt and leave the following carts in a cloud of dust. I would only play as we did because we got the round for $25 plus a $10 dollar cart fee per person.

Hey golfers there is a course in North County that is the breeding facility for all the gophers raised for distribution throughout San Diego co. The course is also not ashamed of charging you as much as a real golf course charges for an experience on unmaintained fairways, bunkers and tee boxs...avoid Boulder oaks until they spend money on maintenance....

We played here on Sunday morning at 9:36 am. We didn't tee off until almost 10 am. The group of 5 in front of us were wearing NFL jerseys and jean shorts.

Do not waste your money and more importantly your TIME!

Horrible conditions. Fairways are literally dirt & weeds.

SLOW. Took 5.5 hours to finish. Waste of a day.

Could be a nice little course, but they clearly don't invest in the course conditions and overbook tee times. 2-3 groups waiting on every par 3.

I've played here 3-4 times this year and it's the same way every time.

I'm done giving this place the benefit of the doubt....
