Good
Course was empty and open on a late Thursday morning, so I was able to re-hit some shots and play with two balls on some holes. Greens were fast with lots of green side bunkers. Fringes and fairways had dead grass, and some even had exposed dirt.
SHAME
El Rio is my favorite muni course.. but now I don't know if will stay that way. last time I played the greens were a mess & now the fairways are horrible.
Fairways have no grass, overwatered mud, had to hope to hit to the rough for any grass to hit off of if lucky Greens ok, a little slow. Only bright spot was the cart girl, bar girl, and starter. They fortunately had great attitudes.
It’s worth $28 bucks but no a penny more
Tee boxes and fairways have no grass. Greens were very slow. Beverage cart gal wanted to spend more time at the starter area than on the course. Hard to believe the city spent over $5,000,000 to redo this course and this is what u get.

Work
Lots of work being done on the course. Hopefully better in the future.
Very good muni course
El Rio is a very playable course. Wide fairways, nice greens and SOME ok bunkers. All-in-all, a nice course for the $$. We enjoyed it.
Clubhouse
Course was great. Clubhouse needs to open soon. 1 year is to long to be closed.

The pace is real slow poeple hitting multlpule balls .
Older course that the Pros had tournaments years ago.
This is a city owned course that lies in the heart of Tucson. Because of that it is not the most beautiful as far as scenery. Having said that it is easy to get to and they are making improvements to the clubhouse facilities. New management took it over a couple years ago and since then the condition of the course has improved a lot. It will never be a Dove Mountain or an Omni, but a good fun course for the money.
Awesome little course for the money
Awesome little course for the money yeah it’s a fairly easy course you can score really well without having to try even if you hit a few Eric shots you’re still OK great place to play to make yourself feel better lol. Fairways are in great condition greens are OK.
Pace
Course was in good condition, but pace of play was terrible. They need a course marshal or someone to check on pace of players. There was a foursome two groups ahead of us that was holding everyone up. I think it may have been there first time out and did not know the rules. Also had a ball hit me and did not know about yelling fore 75 yards away. Five hours to play is too long.
