Fun Golf
El Rio is a fun old school layout.
I always enjoy playing there.
The fairways could be in better shape but I know it gets a lot of play and being a muni course they probably have very limited funds for maintenance. But the greens are always in great shape and fun to putt.
I will always play El Rio it’s too fun and you do not have to hit every shot perfectly or in the air to make good shots or to have a decent score.
GREAT COURSES
Great staff, good wide open Course and fun. Difficulty is fair, some holes easier than others but bunker placements are nice and all in all it's a great course and anybody should check it out.
This course was in great condition
My friends and I had a great experience playing this course. Tee boxes and greens were perfect. I will definitely be playing this course more often this summer.
Price was right
Surprised how little grass was on the fairways and greens although green, were very slow.

First time playing El Rio

As most Muni courses it gets a lot of play but the greens are very good and fair
The fairways are fine considering the traffic

The pace of play can be slow but why be in a hurry when you are playing golf

Horrible
Been playing golf for almost 50 years and by far, this course was in the worst condition I’ve ever played. They suck you in by advertising at the Tucson open used to be played there but that was long ago. Nothing but dirt and weeds. Be warned. Do not waste your time or your money.
