Slow pace of play + fairways being punched
I grew up with this course and although conditions have improved, pace of play hasn't. Even on weekdays it is still slow, just too many players on the course at once. The back 9 are being punched and although the marshall welcomes you to try to play double front 9, the course is packed with nowhere to go.

Waste of time unless you are used to this nonsense

Just a slow day
Usually play here in 4-5 hours. Unfortunately this day it took us 5 1/2 just for 15 holes. Marshals more interested in getting cans and bottles out of trash cans then fixing ropes, raking bunkers, moving golfers along. Still, extremely happy about this course. Just a little more TLC and we have a gem!

Longest round I ever played, more than 6 hrs.
Back nine has the tees and green too close. We were almost hit by several balls coming from other holes. Dangerous
greens are great... now
and it is CV and it was over 2 1/2 hours on the front and there is practically no grass on the fairways and for the price it is okay

Course play.
No starter organizing tee times. Started 15 minutes past my tee time because another group was claiming they had my tee time (I had a full group too). By the 4th hole (par 3) there was 5… yes 5 different tee times trying to play the hole. We waited about 20-25 minutes to play, Marshall came by and we complained but he just shrugged it off and said that’s usual for the par 3 holes to get backed up like that. Can’t say I have the desire to ever go back again.

Nice course Terrible maintenance
This was a nice course back in the day but for them to let it get as bad as it is they should be ashamed, and for the price they are charging that is criminal

Still Working on the 3rd hole
They have been working on the third hole for years now, when will we be able to tee off from the normal spot. Fairways if you can call them that are awful, but at least the greens are in good shape. Had to wait behind a group of FIVE on every hole.

What you see is what you get
Fairways are very thin, tee boxes damaged and spotty, more weeds and grass in many fairways but for the price and the condition of the greens can’t beat it

Slow play
The pace of play was beyond slow. We arrive at the first tee at our tee time and there were two foursomes and a two some waiting to tee off.in front of us. We paid for eighteen but only golfed nine because of the slow play.

Mixed bag
Love the greens. Very obvious 99% of the maintenance money goes toward the greens. Fairways are in mostly poor conditions. Pace of play was infuriating because we were stuck behind 2 fivesomes playing the wrong tees for their skill level. Used to play this course a lot many years ago. They never used to let fivesomes out after 7 am. But American Golf has always been about the money, not the experience. As long as you go in knowing that, the course is fun to play.
