Bad Management
How can you keep sending Marshalls out to tell your group that if you aren't through hole 12 by a certain time you wont finish your round when you are not behind and paid for a full round. Thanks for ruining a round of golf…
First Time
I have played quite a few courses in San Diego and was always kind of scared off by the cost of this course. I’m going to be playing here more often! There were a ton of groups playing in front of us that were expected to play slower. The Marshall kept us aware of the situation and offered solutions before we even questioned it. Ended up getting 18 holes in with a tee time after 4 pm. There were a few holes that were in rough shape but it was because of their proximity to the river and being under water half of the year with all of the rain we have had. The rest of the holes were in great shape! Much better than other courses that are 4 x the price! Carts are in great shape. Thought it was closed by the time we got there , the clubhouse is in a great location. To make a quick stop at the turn. Fun course, nice layout, bunkers in great shape.GREAT VALUE!!

This course is in horrible shape. Even worse though, the pace of play was absurd. Got through 6 holes in 2 1/2 hours. Left after 6 holes. Insane.
Avoid at All Costs
If you have any idea what a round of golf is supposed to be like, i.e. if you have ever played a round of golf in your life, you need to stay far away from this expletive hole. I lost count of the amount of times I had to ask myself, “what the expletive am I doing here?”. They charge you $60, and the round takes 7 hours, not to mention the fact that the majority of the fairway is dirt. I ended up leaving after 6 holes in 2.5 hours. They say “the local rule is to move the ball to a patch of grass”, but that means you end up moving your ball 30 yards back from where your tee shot landed. This is a complete waste of space, please just do the community a favor and build some affordable housing here. The people who play here could benefit greatly from it, rather than wasting their money.
R0und did not get off to a good start when pro shop would not honor GolfNow rate on my reservation, even though I showed him the email with the amount due. POP was incredibly slow 5 hr 15 min, Marshal did nothing tp move players along. Course in its usual lousy condition, Only played there b/c of AM tee time on Memorial day. Greens still recovering from punching 3-5 weeks ago - should by better by now.
Has a chance to be a nice course but fairways are in real bad shape.
Chula Vista
If you drive by the park on Sweetwater road you will see beautiful grass, why cant the city do that to the golf course? Sand in bunkers, greens nice fairways suck. Nice staff, no french fries, very reasonable to play.
