Lakes/Oaks at Blacklake Golf Course

Nice course. It is in good condition and can be challenging. It's nice to have 27 holes.

Black lake is always maintained and with the deals on golf now make it somewhat affordable. The oaks course is the more challenging of the 3 but smart iron play off a few of the boxes will set you up for success. My only complaint is not being able to get on the lakes course more often.

I like the course layout, but it does need some tender loving care, water holes are dried up. The staff was a bit unfriendly.

I have been to this course many times and have always enjoyed my opportunities to play at Black Lake. This last time was terrible, but not because of the course itself. In short, when we got there, because there was a tournament, there were no golf carts available. Fine, we'll walk I said, but although they gave us push carts, there was no adjustment to the bill. As we were walking, I walked to get nine in, eat, then finish up. Stupid me! Due to a wedding, they closed the restaurant and bar at 2:00 p.m., which meant no eat and no drinks. I am highly upset and it will take me a long while before I go back.

My first time playing at this location. Friendly staff, lots of Ambassadors everywhere, and wide open fairways.

I remember playing Blacklake was a treat, but not anymore. Greens were not bad, but fairways were terrible!! They need a serious renovation or attention. I don't have to go back there for long time even though they seems like a okay deal thru GolfNow. I you are thinking about playing, call them and ask its condition first. Money not well spent here.

I played the Blacklake Canyons and Lakes courses on July 11. Both courses were in very good condition, considering the dry, hot summer. Family and friends who visit us always enjoy playing at Blacklake. All three courses are moderately challenging, the pace is reasonable and the golfers are very courteous to each other. The weather is fabulous nine months of the year. What a great place to enjoy a round of golf!

I've played here close to a dozen times and this is by far, not my favorite course to play in the area. Tee boxes needed a lot of maintenance, fairways needed some help, greens were kept up.

Marshal was nowhere to be found on a Saturday afternoon. The pro-shop doesn't pay attention and clumps groups up. By the second hole we caught up to a 2-some, that was behind a 5-some, that was behind ANOTHER 5-some. Then somehow on the 6th hole, a 3-some came from nowhere and played between the two 5-some groups. Needless to say the front 9 took a while. Instead of playing the Oaks like we were instructed, we played the Lakes and finished quick without any delays.

Summary: Overpriced, the course needs some work, and the pro shop needs to stagger groups or have a marshal who pays attention.

I played this course 15 years ago. The new 9 holes is a terrible set up. I wanted to play the original 18 but they were to busy that day. The course wasn't in that good of shape which is surprising in the weather that they get. Some dead spots on greens all in all I only paid 35.00 for the round but I was just very disappointed in the the golf course.

Greens weren't bad. Little shaggy but the ball rolled well. The fairways are pretty beat up.

27 holes to choose from. Played 36 holes and it was fast.

There were a few greens that could be kept up a little better. The pace was a little slow. The staff was amazing and friendly.

This is the last time I'm going to play this course. Everytime I play it, I find myself waiting on every tee box. It took us 5 hours to play 18 holes with a cart. At one hole there was 3 groups waiting to tee off. I understand the course needs to make money, but they just load the course up with as many players as they can get with out a starter. It's very frustrating! Poor course management. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

slow play for 27 hole course need marshals to be more involved and speed up play

I've golfed Black lake for several years, over the past year someone is finally paying attention to it in management. The fairways are looking good, the greens are looking good, and I even saw a marshall for the first time during the week. It's location is beautful and it's nice to see the course finally being well maintained. Great place to play and affordable.

I used to live 1 block from the course and quit playing it several years ago because its condition deterioriated. After playing this week on a vacation trip "back home," I am glad to see that the course conditions are much better than before and that the course is, once again, truly enjoyable to play. The greens are absolutely perfect, and the fairways are well maintained. I'm glad I went back and played Blacklake.

Black lake is a great play to play it has 3 different 9 hole courses to choose from

The course was in good shape, especially on and around the greens. Being a Tuesday, the course wasn't crowded, so played in just over 3 1/2 hours. Not a grip it and rip it course. Many of the holes were fairly narrow and required playing to the right spots for a clear approach to the green. Greens were quick and held shots well. Very friendly staff. A very enjoyable day.

Play can be a tad bit slow but for the price worth it

I believe the staff has been told to cram as many people on the course as you can. The owners need the money. Tee times for any one of the 3 nines mean nothing cause they will start you on a tee that looks open regardless of the one you were scheduled to play. 5 hr rounds are typical.
