About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Enjoyed playing this course
The drive to play this course was worth it. Nicely laid out course in excellent condition, fairways and greens especially. Nice elevation changes with stunning mountain views on several holes. Played on a Sunday afternoon and pace of play was very good. Will definitely return again to this course.

Enjoyable winter golf day
San Ignacio is a gem of a course and very player friendly with the super staff and great layout. The overseed has the course looking great and the greens are rolling nice.
However, now that our winter visitors are coming in, the play is somewhat slower, and they are not as diligent in fixing their ball marks of the greens. But San Ignacio is still a favorite of mine in Green Valley.

1st Time Playing The Course
I liked everything about the experience with one exception: Many of the greens we excessively pocked with ball marks! I know it’s a tough issue, but it’s one condition to improve!

Natural Conditions
Course was in natural conditions for most of the holes despite being a residential course. The fairways and greens were in good condition. Liked the fact that there were three holes with downhill views and tees. I was a visitor to Tucson for the week and enjoyed coming to this course in Green Valley.

you must play this golf course
The golf course was set up for a college girls golf tournament the next day. Great greens set at about a speed of 10...the putt rolled true...all you had to do was read it correctly. If you play this course for the first time you will want to come back and play it again. The lay out is very interesting and the elevation changes make it fun. Have fun.

Beautiful views and challenging course
This course is so well maintained and has gorgeous views. Challenging and fun, staff were very friendly and helpful. Very busy day and pace of play was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Sewailo
Course conditions have deteriorated a bit since I last played in the Spring of 2022. Greens had patchy spots, fairways were riddled with ball divots that hadn't been filled in.

All I can say is Jeff is doing an excellent job and in 20 years I have never seen it in better condition. If we could only move tee times to 10 minute gaps this would be our go to course. Will be back soon!
