About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Very good conditions
Greens were quick and smooth rolling, fairways were in great condition and the layout is challenging, but fair with nicely varied holes. Only negative are the sand traps, which could use more sand, but they are still the best of several nearby courses.

Great value. Excellent condition.
A must play. Great views. Great course. Not over priced. Only minus: I’m a senior and playing from the white tees is too long- there needs to be senior tees, especially given that the course is located in a retirement community.

Great fun course.
The only negative thing about playing there was the starter. I questioned which 90 degree rule they were using and he was a jerk about it. I’ve played 90 degree 2 different ways and he was a condescending jerk about. He said they were using the Green Valley rule. Finally after my prodding, he elaborated. Pretty rude behavior for someone who is supposed to helping the guests.
Aside from that it was a fun round with a couple of great guys.

Nice Course and Great Value
Very nice layout and in great condition. Greens were perfect speed and were smooth. Some nice elevation changes on several holes and awesome views of the Valley and Mountains to the east. Definitely will be back.

Best value in golf for the area
I've played San Ignacio many times and it has always been in really good shape. I like the changes in layout from flatter holes to ones with elevation. Greens roll very well and are not super fast or super slow. On my last visit I had a hole in one. Played with really nice people and had a great day.

Care-less golfers!
Within just a couple weeks of overseed, the number of ball marks on greens is astonishing! Do the players here just not bother to repair? Does management not recognize they have an issue and try to address it? This is a nice lay-out and otherwise in good condition, but the golf experience is compromised by care-less golfers who don't bother to fix ball marks.

This is one of my favorite courses. Lots of elivated tee boxs with great fairways and greens that are all in awesole shape! Will be back very soon.

Great Day at San Ignacio
I played for $30.00 through a hot deal from GolfNow. This is one of the best golf deals I’ve ever enjoyed. This course is easily worth $60 - $70 dollars. It is in great shape and has a good layout. Pace of play was decent, I started 10 imputes late and played in about 4 hrs and 16 minutes, not great but acceptable. Overall an great experience, highly recommended.
