About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

you must play this golf course
The golf course was set up for a college girls golf tournament the next day. Great greens set at about a speed of 10...the putt rolled true...all you had to do was read it correctly. If you play this course for the first time you will want to come back and play it again. The lay out is very interesting and the elevation changes make it fun. Have fun.

Beautiful views and challenging course
This course is so well maintained and has gorgeous views. Challenging and fun, staff were very friendly and helpful. Very busy day and pace of play was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Course conditions have deteriorated a bit since I last played in the Spring of 2022. Greens had patchy spots, fairways were riddled with ball divots that hadn't been filled in.

Better Than Ever
All I can say is Jeff is doing an excellent job and in 20 years I have never seen it in better condition. If we could only move tee times to 10 minute gaps this would be our go to course. Will be back soon!

A round of great golf with my wife!
My wife and I decided to play San Ignacio golf course the day after Thanksgiving in Green Valley, Az.
The day started out to be cool, no wind, and, very sunny. The course is in great shape.
1. Greens were fast, challenging, and, in very good shape.
2. Fairways were cut short, so the balls rolled when hitting lower shots from either the tee box or the fairway.
3. It is a very interesting course design. It was built in valleys, arroyos, and, mesquite bosques.
The round took ~4.5 hours. I highly recommend playing at San Ignacio if you are in the south Tucson or Green Valley area.

Great course, go play it!
This course is well worth a visit. Friendly staff, good layout, excellent greens. I would play here again easily. The only problem was the pace of play for the second potion of the front nine...excruciatingly slow... had to wait on every shot. So, a course marshal, whom we never did see, would have been helpful to push things along.

Needs a little help
The course is generally in very good shape after reseeding. fairways are nice, and greens are nice. only one problem. i played with two members, and they and i, were waiting on every single shot, so we spent our whole 5 hours seeding the unfilled divots in the fairway. and then when we were on the greens we repaired at least ten ball marks each on every green. it seems like almost no one refills their divots, and it looks like no one repairs their ball marks. the course should try to educate their visitors, and and they should have the maintenance crew go out and repair the greens, otherwise they may not be playable very long.

Very good conditions
Greens were quick and smooth rolling, fairways were in great condition and the layout is challenging, but fair with nicely varied holes. Only negative are the sand traps, which could use more sand, but they are still the best of several nearby courses.
