About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Fun course, staff is questionable
Great course. We were rained out on the 14th hole. We thought we might be rained out and wanted to start early since no one was ahead of us. They made us wait because we didn't pay the full rack rate until our exact tee time. Really enjoyed the 14 holes, but were really disappointed in the policy.

Excellent Shape Great Value
I've played 4 other courses in Green Valley in recent month SI is in best shape of them. Greens consistent, fairways, tees, all had sufficient grass. Traps actually had SAND. Played in just over 4 hrs which for a Saturday is fine.

Surprising summer conditions
San Ignacio is a favorite but summer is usually rough. Happy to say that the course was in better shape than expected. Yes som3 dry spots but the greens were excellent, especially for being Bermuda. This made playing there a great value. Will be plating there more this summer. Oh and the rang3 is the best in this area!
San Ignacio
One of the nicest courses in the Tucson vicinity. A challenging course for seasoned golfer but not intimidating to the occasional missed shot. The green hold and putt well, The fairways are in great shape with the tee boxes needing some attention. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The pace of play was slower then I am used to, with the ranger politely apologizing with "sorry nothing can be done. I appreciate the cart lady selling me some beverages, along with explaining why they are not on the course. I must agree with their logic. To many times I have been frustrated with the beverage cart distraction or slowing down the play. A must play course for any skill of golfer.

Love the course
The other 3 in my group had to leave after 5 holes due to a call from their job site. When I finished the front nine the starter saw that i was a single and came up with a plan so I wouldn't get stuck behind 2 foursomes on the back nine. He personally drove me to the 14th Tee box and I was free and clear from there. When I finished 18 I continued to play 10-13 and took the short cut back to the clubhouse that the starter showed me. Now that is customer service at the highest level.

What I saw of the course looked good. Play was pretty slow. Got to hole 8 and it started to rail and hail, so picked up and went home. Welcome to Monsoon 2022.

San Ignacio
Great course, not very forgiving if your not hittem somewhat straight. Little water, couple of small puddles from the rains but no biggie just foot wedge it, greens great shape pins where in forgiving spots they could give us the business if they wanted to. great service all around but no beverage cart on course.

dangerous
Steps to the 8 hole red tees have a lot of loose gravel on them, my 80 yr old playing partner has a hard time using them and is afraid of slipping and falling.

Round San Ignacio in July
If you play in AZ during the summer expect hot days, but if you play early the heat is very manageable. The course was in good shape, greens are perfect and easy to read. Carts are equipped with cooler, but there is no beverage cart. You have opportunity at the turn to buy beverages and some snacks (few choices). Overall I would recommend this course.

Nice course
Course was in pretty good shape for July. Actually had a couple tee shots plug in the fairway. Greens in good shape and pace of play was not bad. Will defy one out again
