About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Best Course in GV
played today Fathers Day, teed off on time, group ahead let us thru we played in just over 3 hours. For the summer in Green Valley the course is in amazing condition. Yes the greens had been punched but thats standard for this time of year. This is by far the best course in Green Valley.
Just wish the grill had been open after we finished for breakfast.

Great course, punched greens
I make it a point to play San Ignacio every year despite that it is more than 100 miles from my home. The course layout is wonderful. However, conditions Thursday 6-9-22 made it near impossible because greens were punched and there were holes that made it difficult to know how hard to hit putts. In many cases, Golf Now provides warning so that golfers know what to expect. That was not the case with this course on this day. In summation: love the course but am not happy about playing one with greens that are punched.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We strive for a 5-star experience, so we welcome your feedback. Our goal is to provide our golfers with all relevant information when booking their round online. We work hard to maintain the course for everyone's benefit, which means aerifying the greens as part of our regular maintenance schedule. The greens will be healed soon and in pristine condition. Slowest round ever
Super slow with no Marshall on a Saturday. We left after 12 holes. We would have been on track for a 6.5 hour round.
Drunks in front of us driving their carts up to the greens. Again, no Marshall in site. I was told the Marshall went how around lunch time.

I wish I would have known that the course was going to be aerated while I was playing. It was a mess to try to find some ground that was not covered with dirt plugs, let alone a safe way to stand to hot the ball off the fairway. When I signed up for the deal,it would be nice to know as I would have found another course.
For the most part San Ignacio is a great course.

Fast play...great conditions!
Love this course! Even on a Sunday, pace of play was awesome (3:45) and the course is in great shape! Bunkers have actual sand...so be careful in there!
