About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Nice course
Course was in pretty good shape for July. Actually had a couple tee shots plug in the fairway. Greens in good shape and pace of play was not bad. Will defy one out again

Course in very good shape for these hot temps. Challenging course. Staff very sociable and accommodating. The bar and restaurant for the 19th hole very good .

Excellent Public Course
Beautiful vistas along a challenging course. Play here often and every year they are making improvements. Course was in bad shape as it was shut down for a while. Since reopening, the new management have gradually brought it back to where it is one of the finest courses in this area.

Best Course in Green Valley
the summer time is tough on courses, greens get aerated, lack of rain. San Ignacio is great considering all of the above. Just wish Coyote Grill would open for breakfast !

Slow play was annoying
Conditions good overall. Greens held but still working their way from plug and sand.
Fairways good as well, and bunkers sandy and dry.
Rarely complain about pace, but we had a ranger hovering around a number of times, and was aware of the group responsible for holding everyone up, but yucked it off and seemed surprised (clueless).
Waited from #5 onward accounting for an added 1/2 hour (not huge, but combined with heat / humidity / standing around / and frustration from groups behind and you could understand). They lost contact with the group in front of them and seemed unable to crank it up
I like the course, clubhouse, and even personnel, but this round was tough to handle.
Saw a lot of “plumb-bobbing” and wind checking vs reasonable pace and movement.
Why players join private, limited access clubs….I guess.

Scenic layout and a challenge from the tips for a 11 handicap
Marshall's need to be more visible an engage with customers would be my suggestion ..ex..how's everything ?, .maybe if ball is off course , point golfer into area would be nice also ..

Great shape
I would play here tomorrow!!! Course was in great shape all the way around. I loved the layout and all the trees the course weaves its way through. Definitely a must play if you are in the area.
