San Ignacio Golf Club
About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Pleasant Surprise
My son and I tried out the IGGY course and found it to be a very nice course for the price. Beautiful setting and wildlife everywhere. The course was in great shape. Like others shared the pace of play was a little slow but still really enjoyed the course and round of golf. We will be going back.
a busy golf course. front nine in the pm was a little slow, back nine fewer golfer and very much enjoyable.
Quite the course
I'm from Arkansas my brother=in=law and I came out just for a week of golf
we played several courses thru the week and this course had the slowest greens of all the courses we played and we played everyday M-F
The fairways were green but cut close and the ground was hard so for me it was challenging but I hit some pretty good shots and some that weren't so pretty
It wasn't the course it was me
On behalf of my Brother-in-law and myself thank you for a day of frustrating fun from a 70 yr old guys looking for an ending to a great week of gold
Needs a little more attention for the prices
I chose to make the trip to play this course again because the winds were ferocious the first time I played.
The layout is great, but a few items need attention to deserve the prices they are charging.
I typically arrive an hour before my tee time to warm up, however, at that time carts weren't available. As the range is quite a distance from the clubhouse, I was forced to wait for cart access. Once I received my cart, I learned mine was one of several that had "chip issues" and GPS would be inoperable (thankfully I had some course knowledge).
I drink very little on the course during a round, but it's nice to have that availability. I was greeted by the "cart girl" on hole 2 and did not see her again the rest of the day. Later, I decided to have a beer and Powerade at the halfway house between the nines, but upon arrival it had been shut down (3 pm on a weekend). So, I had to make the trek back to the clubhouse for my beverages.
As for the course, please put sand in the greenside bunkers. It's nearly impossible to hit behind the ball and throw the ball out with the sand when there is no sand.
To summarize; too few carts, no GPS, no cart girl after noon, no halfway house to start the back nine, and no sand in the greenside bunkers. I would not suggest paying "snowbird" prices for municipal standards.
Want to try again.
On this particular day there were 30 mph winds and our round took 4hr 48 min. We waited nearly 5 min on every shot while 3 women played in front of us drinking way to much. Will try again in the summer when they are in their A.C
Day is Done
Always a great course to play. Then lay back and have drink/dinner on the patio with great views.
Highly recommended.
Irrigation system
We were forced off the course early, the system turned on and we had to skip 3 holes.
San Ignacio
Excellent course, a bit pricey but course in excellent condition
Nice Course
Conditions are the best in this area. Pace a little slow because of good weather.
