About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Desert course
It's a typical desert course, but this one for the location and the price. It's pretty good. Having lived in Monterey for 30 years and played all the local courses there, includingPebbleBeach. It's kind of hard to judge these desert courses. Overall I shot an 82 from the tips. Side note I'm over 60. Lol
Amazing course!
I've played almost all the courses around tucson that are $40-$60 for a round. This course at $55 is an amazing value! Not many people in summer and not really a far drive from tucson. Only complaint was no cart girl but it wasn't very busy so it makes sense

Greens had been plugged and sanded, but playable. Bunkers continue to be poor. Beautiful vistas.
Love the course just not this particular day.
Let me start by saying i love playing at San Ignacio, just today wasn’t the best time. When booking the tee time there was no note saying that the greens were being aerated and that we would be playing the front 9 twice. Upon teeing off and approaching the first green we were met by sprinklers and had to wait approximately 5-10 minutes until they turned off not a big issue, but that happened subsequently for the next 3 holes.

Nice course ,was paired with 2 other golfers ,super nice fellows ,Bill and Larry.
Great Course
Excellent Course. Layout is fun. A fair course. Bunkers are a bit hard with that crusty top and not much sand. Greens were nice but rolling slow and a bit bumpy but manageable. This is our favorite course in the Green Valley, AZ area that we play 4-6 times per year. Conditions this time were good but it has been in better shape in the past.

Traps
Traps need work. Hard dirt and mud puddles are not the same standard as the course conditions.
Course condition
Overall very good. Need some sand in the bunkers!
Sloooooow play
Course was great! Play was super slow! Group behind us left after 13 holes it was that slow. Marshall didn't do anything to speed up pace. We almost left as well. Very irritating!
Excellent Course
Have played here annually for a few years on our annual golf trip to southern Arizona. The course has always been in great condition and the staff excellent. We will continue to keep this on our places to play on our southern golf trip.

Nice day, great course conditions with signs of seasonal change of grasses. Sand in bunkers somewhat inconsistent.

Thoroughly enjoyed the round of golf. Love the golf gps on carts now. Wish it wasn’t so expensive to play at San Ignacio.

Great course and good people. Only bad mark is the bunker rakes need replaced. Handles leave splinters in your hands so don't hit it in the bunkers!! LOL
