San Ignacio Golf Club

About
Located in Green Valley just a short drive south of Tucson, lies San Ignacio Golf Club. An Arthur Hills design, San Ignacio features well placed grass bunkers, dynamically shaped Bermuda fairways and some of the smoothest greens in Arizona. Known for the friendly nature of the course and the staff, San Ignacio is a favorite among the locals from the retirement community of Green Valley and nearby Tucson. The way the course rests naturally among the canyons, ridges and arroyos of the Santa Cruz River Valley pays tribute to the desert and the commanding views of the surrounding mountains. But be aware, the course can play very tight and any errant shot can fall short into many waiting greenside bunkers.

Challenging coure for a beginer
Just started playing, the course was fun to play. Had afternoon Tee time, around dusk the local animals came out. Saw deer, ducks, and around 25 Javelins. Left my share of balls around the course, and in the water.
Tuesday Highlight
Always enjoy playing this course and having a drink/dinner on the patio afterwards.
Great Course
Every hole is unique and a joy to play. If you are not careful it will bring you to your knees. Just keep up with the group in front and everyone will be happy.
San Ignacio
Course was in excellent shape. Fun and challenging to play.. The signature par 5 hole had a panoramic view of the region that was itself worth the visit. Lots of elevation changes made it interesting. Well worth a game.
Good Time
Excellent time— great weather
Very dry year
Course in very good condition in spite of drought
Nice staff
Great food after
Great course!
Great course! Staff was great, course was in great shape. I would definitely play it again!
Beautiful course
The fairways and greens and sand traps were in very good condition.
For the price I highly recommend!

Golf in a Windstorm
In spite of extreme winds the course played very well and is in great shape. The views are spectacular and the staff is very congenial. There is an excellent variety in hole types and all kinds of hazards to contend with. It's a real treat to play.
Nice track
This was a nice track, course conditions were good, staff friendly, really no complaints of this course at all.
Great couo
Second time I’ve played here the course is very well groomed and staff is awesome. Great challenge
How much does sand cost?
Probably the 10th round I've played at SI. Overall course condition was good. A couple of tees are crowned making it hard to find a level spot. Greens are good for a course with as much play as this has with the usual unrepaired ball marks from public play. The should emphasize that carts stay off the dormant grass as it is starting to get pretty bare in many areas. Fairways in good shape. Traps need sand (though better than Canoa)!! First one was 1/2" sand/dirt with hardpan underneath. Second one was just dirt. Both were impossible to guess how the ball would come out. I'll play there again but try harder to stay off the beaches.
Pace of play problem...
Got behind a group of javelinas! Otherwise a very nice day. Course is in very good condition: Tees, fairways, greens - even the bunkers are decent (a rarity on public courses in the area). Worth the drive to Green Valley.

Course was in excellent condition, great restaurant
St Ignacio
fun course to play. Course is in great condition including greens. For some in front of us super super slow lucky to get 18 in before dark.
