Mountain at Incline Village Golf Resort

About
Set in Tahoe, Incline Village features two golf courses that will have golfers itching for more. The Mountain Course is one of them, and this Robert Trent Jones Jr. design will appeal to even the most demanding of golfers.
The Mountain Course, designated a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary," combines a unique design that brings the most out of its immensely scenic qualities. Jones Jr. used the natural landscape to create a course that is one with nature, but more than challenging enough for low-handicappers. Even so, the multiple tee placements make it a perfect challenge for all golfers, making the Mountain Course a must play for those looking for the perfect High Sierra golf package.
Tahoe locals have long been fans of the Mountain Course, as have those on golf vacations to Incline Village and Tahoe. Add to that superior service - it has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for customer satisfaction by the National Golf Foundation - and you'll see why the Mountain Course at Incline Village is a special place for golfers.

Bring Your Balls, Both Kinds
Whether you can hit it STRAIGHT or not, it's still a fun afternoon. Devilishly tight course (fairways are about the width of a city sidewalk) with woods, creeks or houses on all sides AND beaucoup bunkers around the tricky-slicky greens, the blurb on the website is very accurate...a great place to work on your short game.
Family friendly
Grea course to sharpen your short game and enjoy the beautiful surroundings..Perfect course to play with my husband.
Mountain Course at Incline
I have played this course 3 times in the last month. It is a great course to use your irons. With 14 par 3’s you get to work on your short game. Beautiful course and the greens are in great shape.
Course
Some of the par 3's were challenging. Too bad they couldn't have a couple par 5's. Otherwise we enjoyed the course. For a 1st time player, it was hard to fine a couple tee boxes. I would play again.
Mountain Course at Incline
The course was in good shape. The price was well worth it. Good course to work on your irons.
Kudos to Head Pro Ashley Wood
I just want to say Kudos to Ashley Wood the Head Pro at the Mountain Course in Incline Village. Ashley brings competency , inspiration and talent as our Head Pro. When asking about rules, Ashley provided a "Situation" card for our entire group. Ashley always finds a solution to every "Situation." We are so lucky to have such a cheerful, skilled competent Head Pro. Thank you Ashley Wood for being on top of everything!
Fun & Challenging short coarse
Fun & Challenging short coarse.
Variety of changing elevations.
Coarse has a lot of character.
So Good
All the conditions were so good I wanted to keep this course to myself. But since I really depend on these reviews, I will say play here and you won't be sorry.
Bring your A game.
While the course is beautiful and the weather couldn't have been better, the fairways are tight and it is sneakingly long. Best to bring it all. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Short but challenging, and a lot of fun
This is a shorter course than the nearby Championship course in Incline Village, NV, but the nature of the mountain terrain will challenge you in unexpected ways. I highly recommend this course. My only complaint is the pricey rental equipment ($40 for TaylorMade clubs).
No views of lake Tahoe
Tough course, not for the other of shape. Haff fun in the woods though.
Fun & Challenging Par 3
Really enjoyed this course with my Dad. Staff was very attentive and Mike took time to give us some great tips being our first time there. If you want to hit some balls before going out, make sure you do that at the Championship Course as the Mountain Course doesn’t have a range.
Country Club of the Future?
I could get used to this kind of golf. Our group played a nine-hole scramble. It was fun, fast and stress free. If I hit a crappy shot, we just played my partner's ball. If I hit a great shot, then I earned the good feeling because this executive course with four par 4s is no pushover. It's got all the elements of a championship course - hazards, bunkers, elevated greens, etc. - without the length.
Since it is quite challenging, I'm not sure it's a great course to teach a beginner on, but if that beginner starts feeling comfortable here, he/she can play anywhere. The beautiful setting reminds you why golf is such a joy in the first place.
Beautiful settings
Great short course that runs through the pines. Challenging layout with tricky greens.
Beautiful golf course
The layout in scenery is excellent. We enjoyed our 18 holes at the mountain course, but it would be nice if it was a par 70 or 72. If you want to play short course and practice your short irons, this place to go.
A Must Play
Beautiful course, pleasant staff, challenging (narrow) fairways. Fast play, no pressure, very enjoyable. GolfNow has better rates than booking direct. Will definitely play again this season before the winter snow.
