About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Greens were in excellent shape. Some Tee boxes had grass that was too tall or no grass at all (dirt)

Do not pass this up!
I fell in love with this course the 1st time I ever played it. The 1st 3 holes remind you of every municipal course you've ever played. Then when you get to hole 4 it completely changes! Every hole is different and challenging and the scenery is awesome! This is definitely one of the best courses in the Spartanburg area that you will find. Do not pass up the opportunity to play this course when you are in the area. You absolutely will fall in love with it. You may or may not score well but you will thoroughly appreciate the course!

Great course even after a couple days of rain
I have played this course a handful of times now. Absolutely love it. The course is always in great shape, the latest round i played was following a couple days of rain so it was really wet and cart path only unfortunately. This is a course that is very difficult if it is your first time playing considering there are quite a few blind tee shots and approaches that require you to know what kind of line to take off the tee without seeing the landing zone. Highly recommend though.

River Falls
Difficult course with many side hill lies. Have to keep ball in fairways off tee. Greens were in great condition......fast and tricky. Fair amount of water. Fortunately didn’t hit any traps. A couple of rather unique holes that were pretty challenging. Nice course for a good golfer, tough for mid to high handicaps. Probably should have played senior tees...... will do next time playing here.
Restaurant was clean, food was very good, staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this golfing experience to anyone.
