River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Nice Community Loop
We picked this as a stop on our way to Myrtle Beach. Nice layout. This had a lot of raid so cart path only. I would play here again.

Pace of play
Pace of play was 5 hours 10 mins. Waited on every hole. Never once saw a Marshall

Love the course. Allow plenty of time
I have enjoyed playing this course over the past several years. Today was not enjoyable. My partner & I left after playing the front nine in 3 hours—tee boxes were stacked up & never once did I see a ranger on the course. As much as I like everything else about the course, layout, conditions, staff, etc—this was unacceptable COVID 19 conditions notwithstanding. I will be back soon to play a full 18. Hopefully pace of play will have improved/be better monitored or I will find a different course for the future.

Great Course
The course was in great shape for being late in the year. I was playing it for the first time while on vacation. Very pleased with this course for the value! The course was challenging, but not too difficult for the average golfer. Something for everyone! Highly recommend playing if you get a chance.

Great shape
Course is in great shape. Greens roll true and fast other then the fact that nobody seems to repair their ball marks. That was the only issue I found and I am sure the grounds crew can take some time to fix this. Fairways, Tee boxes and greens other then the balls marks are all in great shape. Will be playing again.

Great value
Great value as always. Greens were a little bumpy today. They have not fully grown in from the last aeration.

Friendly and Great shape.
Staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape. This seems to be the best value course in the area. Would've liked a beverage cart for refills but Covid19 may have impacted that.

Bad staff
Absolutely disappointed with the course management played yesterday our tee time was 750 am 6 out of the first 9 holes the sprinklers were running wide open on the greens we called the club house twice and nobody answered so when we finished hole nine we went in the clubhouse and made them aware of it all he said was sorry about that will get it taken care of and we went on to play the back nine 4 of the back nine holes had sprinklers on the greens running wide-open again the greens were absolutely soaked and so were we after we finished up 18 we went to the clubhouse to let them know that we were angry about it and The only thing they said was sorry about that didn't offer us a refund or free round or anything very disappointed to have paid to play will not be playing there again just because of course management we showed them pictures of the sprinklers on the greens and everything Just seems like it's really poorly ran ( some pictures attached to show call log and some of the sprinklers)
