Beautifully laid course and a great pace. Friendly Staff. The condition can be better though...but at the end of the day, I enjoyed playing here and I would come back to play if it was a little far from where I live.

Had a lot of change in the course. Requires a bit of course knowledge to know how to play some of the holes. Blind shots come into play often. All in all great shape for this time of year. Greens were firm but receptive. Fairways will come back to life in a month or two.

Third time playing course. Enjoy layout. I've only played here late winter/ early spring when there aren't real fairways (winter grass in Texas), so even when you find fairway, you are basically hitting off dirt with some dried out stuff that looks like grass. Of course this is true for most all Dallas golf courses this time of year. There are lots of bunkers, but poor sand conditions. I want to see it this summer with nice fairways and good sand.

The course was so torn up from a thunderstorm the night before that I wish they had called and cancelled my tee time or at least told me to expect trees down on at least 4 or 5 holes and standing water on most of the fairways. There wasn’t a good lie to hit from all day including the tee boxes. The greens were in good shape but all completely soaked and spongy. I’ve always wanted to play this course. I believe at the right time of year it would be great but I’m incredibly disappointed.

This once great course has lost its excellent standing. Sand traps have liners showing, on course bathrooms are nasty and only partially working, and fairways have bare spots. During dry weather it’s difficult to get tees in the tee box ground. Still have the best greens around and it’s too bad the rest of the course doesn’t match their quality. Pro shop staff are friendly and knowledgeable. As a former member I hope new ownership will return the course to its former status.

We had a 1 o'clock tee time and checked in around 12:20, upon check-in we were told that there would be a 30 minute delay on teeing off due to "frost" and a late start in the mornings, mind you the lowest temp of that day was only 40 degrees. We got no warning or heads up until arriving at the course. We end up not teeing off until 1:50 and then by the third hole we caught 2 groups of 5 and then a 6-some ahead of them. We did not see a marshal all day and there was no one to help improve the pace of play. By hole 9 we could see this was going to be a 5 hour round, so we called the pro-shop to see if we could come in and get a refund or rain check on our remaining holes. The people in the shop had no sympathy that they started us nearly an hour late, let multiple groups of 5-6 on the course, and double booked tee times with the public and their members. After talking with groups ahead of us, we realized multiple people tried this and they all had the same story as us. To top it off the guys in the clubhouse were being terribly rude and even started cursing at a member of my group.

Aside from the awful club management, the course was also in terrible shape. The tee boxes had zero grass and were rock hard, the greens were nice on some holes and then others had sand patches, the bunkers were filled with more rocks than sand, and the fairways had a huge number of dead spots. Keeping how the course was managed out of mind, this course is not worth $75 on a perfect day. It was in terrible condition and you'd be better off paying $30 at some other local muny.

Overall, I can not recommend to avoid this course enough. None of my group will ever be coming back and the multiple groups we talked to in front of us said the same thing.

AVOID THIS COURSE

The greens were in great shape for winter season golf. They rolled very true. Some tee boxes, especially number 8 tee box were in very bad shape, but for the most part it was ok. Fairways were not in the greatest of shape but it's still under winter conditions, hopefully it will be much better in the spring.

Course playing well even in the middle of January. Will be back again soon!

Only knock is there were no water stations on the course. There’s a very convenient station at the clubhouse but i would like to see a cooler or something added at the turn.
