Confusing layout, frustrating back 9
Course was in great condition. Awesome that they had a full restaurant. Staff was friendly. Only 6200 from the tips. Pace of play was the best out of any course I've played, finished in just over 3 hours.
The layout was so frustrating, particularly the back 9. Trees line just about every hole and if you miss the fairway your ball is gone. If you're not a straight hitter, bring a half dozen balls.
Do not walk the course. There is a long winding bridge through marsh with narrow tracks to keep the cart on.
Tons of blind shots and doglegs that lead to marshes/water. Do not play here unless you have some sort of a course GPS.
Cart return is confusing, no signs on where to put the carts, everyone just parks them in random spots.
Would recommend playing the front 9 only.

Extremely fun course to play
This course has something for everybody. It's extremely fun to play. Every hole is different. You have great scenery and every hole is different. One whole year driving off an island over the marshes up a hill around the corner. The next hole you're teeing off a top of a super high hill overwater into the woods. The staff was really nice. I actually forgot my putter of course and they had one for me. No questions asked. Everything was maintained. I got a tee time off the golf now hot time for $25 for 18 holes which is an absolute steal for this course.

Cloudy and occasional rain, so it was not perfect conditions of the ground.
But it is still challengeable.

Very Nice!
Booked through GN, mobile check in. Staff was very friendly, guided our foursome to where we needed to be. Course was in good condition, nice layout. Not a difficult track, but will keep you honest. Greens were firm, but fair. Played just the front. Will definitely come back again to play all eighteen.

Solid Course
I came down from the Lansing area and paid $30 per person for something you would have needed to pay for $80 up here. Worth the drive, great layout, a little short in terms of blue tee yardage but the course was in great conditions for early on in the season. Great hidden location in the woods off of Whitmore Lake. Great place to play 18 and then go to the tavern down the road and grab a bite to eat. 5 stars overall! Awesome hidden gem!

Good courese, good price, tee time in the middle of an outing :(
Played The Links at Whitmore Laker on Saturday, May 20, 2023. We had a 10:04am tee time for two and knew we'd be paired with another two-some. Everything was fine until the 10th hole. We made the turn and there was a tent set-up on the tee box and 3 foursomes waiting to go. The first foursome was in an outing and was doing some kind of gimmick to move their ball forward. The group after that was NOT in the outing, but we were told by the foursome in front of us (the one behind the foursome not in the outing) that these four play very slow and had a two hole gap in front of them before the turn. The foursome in front of us tee'd off and then we got to go (all with the tent still on the tee box because apparently there were 3 more groups for the outing behind us). We played the front in 2 hours, but the back took over 3 hours to complete.

Interesting Course Layout and conditions of each course are fair.
Second half halls are somewhat challenged. I would like to refer my friends for the play again
