Great time.
My buddy and I had a great time at this course. Fairly challenging, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They let us play an additional 9 after our round. Course was in good condition. Overall a very good experience.

Fun to play
We have played this course several times. It has been carved out of an immense forest. It is interestingly laid out and it’s possible to play without losing a ball (if you don’t hit them into the woods of which there is plenty).The greens hold well, and the fairways are cut to allow roll. Avoid the rough as it is fairly long and thick and will stop your ball quickly. Cool bridges across low-lying areas. One of the bridges is very, very long providing a pleasant ride through pretty, dappled forestry. Despite a few low spots which retain rainwater, the course is in excellent shape and a joy to play. Unfortunately, the pace of play was quite slow and since I don’t like to wait on every tee., that detracted a bit from the enjoyment. The snack bar in the clubhouse has limited food selection, so don’t expect to have much choice for a lunch break between nines. Although this sounds a bit picky, we love this golf course and will definitely return often.

Early start at Whitmore Lake
My playing partner and I had the first tee time so pace of play wasn’t an issue, the guy in the pro shop was super polite and helpful, the course is always in great shape and this time was no exception. The only down side were the swarms of flies on some of the holes on the back nine. Have played here often since it opened 25ish years ago and will definitely be back.

Double Booking resulted in 5 hour round.
It is never good when there is a 30 minute delay at the first tee. I was a single so I had to ask a number of people which t time they had. I had 11:30 and so did a foursome and the threesome I was with. Not sure how many times they double booked. Waited on every tee and in every fairway. Course was in decent shape with just one or two greens that had some problem areas. Traps needed raking.

Great course but very long wait off first tee
It was a really nice course but tee times were too close together and got backed up very quick. We teed off over an hour after our tee time.
