About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Conditions not up to Par
We have played here several times before. This was the worst conditions by far. There was very little grass in the fairways. They let a group of six join together on the back nine and hold up play. Not a great experience will not be back anytime soon.
Barely a course
Huge dirt fairways. Gravel hard bunkers. Uncut greens. Smell of stagnate water throughout and mosquitos on an unbelievable level. Not worth any amount. Wasted trip.

Snails
All was well when we teed off 08:35. No one in front of us. By the 6 hole we caught up with 4some in front. We had to yell at them to speed up. When we finished the 9th hole. We played 1-9 over, with no interruptions.

Always enjoyed playing Haven, but why the lack of grass, especially around the greens, the bunkers are like concrete, putted out of most of them!

Fun course. Fairways are in not in good shape
The course is in fair shape except for the fairways which have a lot of dead grass and bare soil. Pace of play was good. Round in less than 4 hours. Try their brots, chips and beer special.

User friendly
The fairways are sparse in some locations which I believe is because they are getting ready to overseed. Greens were a little slow but in very good condition.

Haven
Course has gone downhill. Brown fairways and not being watered much.

Overall poor course condition
Fairways poor condition missing grass due to low lawn more cut plus the heat resulting in no grass in Middle of the Fairways and around the greens

By chance, we had a beautiful, cloudy day that made it ideal for golf. The course was in good shape and the greens were almost immaculate. The only downfall were there mosquitos. They stayed with us for about 90% of our round. If you remember the value size can of mosquito repellent, then you'll have a decent round.

Poor Treatment
Because we are TeeOff customers we get penalized from starting early our round of golf. Arrived at 08:20 and checked in. Told we would be called at 08:55. Other 3 in my foursome were on driving range. At 08:25 a twosome went off. No other groups were waiting except our group. We didn't get called to 08:50 . ,,,,,,poor course management course management..Thank you

Fairways and bunkers
Fairways are blotchy, bare spots in short grass areas and even in the first cut. Tee boxes also in bad shape with little or no grass.
Bunkers are almost like concrete in spots, not enough good sand in them and really wet shallow dirt bottoms.
Greens were perfect in most cases
