About
Deer Valley Golf Course offers a challenging game that will test golfers of all skill levels. The course has a beautiful rolling terrain with over 800 palm trees sprinkled throughout, providing a nice landscape but they can also affect shots since they border nearly all of the greens on the golf course. There are also sand bunkers that guard some of the greens, which are large, undulating, and oftentimes difficult to read. In addition, five of the greens are double-tiered. Ten ponds are situated on the course, coming into play on five holes. There are also some dogleg fairways to add to the difficulty at Deer Valley.

Nice and easy to play, generous faiways, fast greens. A good but fair challenge for senior golfers, both my wife and I enjoyed it a lot and will certainly return to play there again.
Course is tight on the front.
Course is in good condition. We are about 16 handicap and found the front difficult because of the narrow fairways. Back was better. The course was in good condition and we enjoyed the play. Only problem is the slow play.

This is really a beautiful desert course ....the par 3 17th hole has to be its signature hole .... framed with beautiful palm trees.
I am a resident but my GolfNow green fee was much lower than I would pay as a resident. Just wish there were more GolfNow tee times.
nice greens
After a one hr.delay because of early morning frost i got to play deer valley for the first time and was impressed with the greens. The greenskeepers do a wonderful job out there considering the amunt of play the course gets this time of year. The rest of the course is nothing to write home about. Take extra care in club selection because the greens are large.

The Sun City West courses are great
Deer Valley was in beautiful shape when I played there. In fact, it, along with the rest of the Sun City West courses, was one of the most plush courses I've played in the Phoenix area.
In comparison to the Phoenix municipal courses, I would rather play out in Sun City West any day of the week. The prices are about the same, but the condition of the Sun City West courses is absolutely awesome. I'd give Deer Valley 4.5 stars. The only place it's lacking is in the scenery.

This was the first time I had the pleasure of playing Deer Valley and it was in excellent shape. This could easilly become my favorite course in the NW valley after a few more rounds.
This course is long and fun with great scenery.
The staff at this course is very friendly and accomdating and do their best to give all golfers a positive experience. Even after overseeding the fairways are lush and green and the greens are in excellent condition. The rough is at great length where it wont punish you to badly if you end up there. The pace of play was fair, although there were to many guys pulling out there range finder on their 2nd shot from the fairway on a par 5. If you want to have fun with generous fairways play this course.

Lush fairways and very nice greens.
Played the course soon after the over-seeding so the fairways and greens were shaggy and cart paths only was enforced. In spite of that, the greens were very playable and tees and fairways had a thick growth of rye. When the grass is cut down to normal levels this course will be exceptional.
