Mountain at Incline Village Golf Resort
About
Set in Tahoe, Incline Village features two golf courses that will have golfers itching for more. The Mountain Course is one of them, and this Robert Trent Jones Jr. design will appeal to even the most demanding of golfers.
The Mountain Course, designated a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary," combines a unique design that brings the most out of its immensely scenic qualities. Jones Jr. used the natural landscape to create a course that is one with nature, but more than challenging enough for low-handicappers. Even so, the multiple tee placements make it a perfect challenge for all golfers, making the Mountain Course a must play for those looking for the perfect High Sierra golf package.
Tahoe locals have long been fans of the Mountain Course, as have those on golf vacations to Incline Village and Tahoe. Add to that superior service - it has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for customer satisfaction by the National Golf Foundation - and you'll see why the Mountain Course at Incline Village is a special place for golfers.

15 minute tee times. Fantastic!
I would like to give a huge compliment to this course. Did not have to wait all day even with a full tee sheet. I will play this course again just due to the fact that the course is not jammed up and can play at a perfect pace. I have never heard of 15 minute tee times and I think we all should support this idea and this course. The course was great by the way. It’s a beautiful setting in the woods and mountains. Greens are fast and in great shape.
Miniature Golf
This place really needs some windmills. No one in our group is a novice, nor are they particularly good. Never had so many “good shots” bounce into traps, bounce off greens, hit limbs of trees, etc. We played far more difficult courses on our trip but they were at least fair. This course is better suited to trick shot artists or golfers who can place the ball within 10 feet of where they aimed every time. Not for me. And the “mountain” term is not applied to the scenery, which is beautiful, but to the ridiculous hills on every hole.
1st time was a charm!
We have never been to Lake Tahoe so every one of our experiences was pretty cool. This course kept us on our toes and we enjoyed every inch of every hole. It's challenging, beautiful, fun, and affordable. A few of the greens were a little bumpy but the rest of the course played well. Can't wait to return next year!
Tight & short
Just 4 par 4s out of 18
Very hilly and sloping
Greens kept very well
Most holes require heading straight as tall trees on either side close
Awesome track
This course has such a good vibe around it. The course is beautiful, the area is beautiful, and the staff was awesome. Can’t wait to be back!
Great!
The greens and fairways were in great condition.. The course has a lot of par 3s but they are interesting and scenic holes. If you like a woodsy course, you will like this one. Price is very reasonable!
Thank You
The staff at the Mountain Course corrected the issue we had at the course.
Class act, fun course, great greens!
Highly recommend
Incline- Mountain
Course was in great shape. Greens are sanded by play well. Always a beautiful mountain course.
Horrible experience!!!!!!!!
This was the 4th or 5th time we played this course while on vacation. Our prior experiences were all positive.
The starter today was so rude and verbally abusive, we decided to leave rather than deal with him.
We were two women, which should not make a difference, but somehow I do not believe the he would have yelled at me and called me a liar if I were of the male persuasion.
As I said, our prior experiences were all good, but it was made very clear to us today that we were not wanted or valued.
I’m a member at PGA West, have traveled extensively and have played many courses, have been playing golf since the early 90’s and play to a 10-12 index.
This, by far, was the worst experience I’ve ever had on any golf course.
Three club challenge
The Mountain vaults to the top of the list when it comes to the best short courses in the country.
At the whim of a playing partner, we played a three-club challenge. I was able to negotiate all the hills, creeks and tight, tree-lined corridors with one ball. It was great fun. It took the seriousness out of the game.
Whether you want to have fun or give your short game a serious workout, this is the place. It's scenic and challenging. Well worth your time and money.
