About
Founded in 1917, Washoe Golf Course is the oldest golfing facility in Reno. The layout has small greens and tree-lined fairways, but the fairways are wide and flat making them fairly forgiving. There are water hazards and bunkers strategically placed throughout. The mature landscape is carefully maintained with an elaborate sprinkler system that ensures that the course is green and ready for play all year round. Washoe Golf Course also has PGA Professionals on staff to help with individual or group instruction and extensive practice facilities that include a generous putting green, driving range, and a chipping area with practice bunker.

The greens are a little rough but a nice layout makes for a good day

Person behind counter was great!! Need more people like him.
We thought the tee boxes and most fairways needed to be cut. Greens/sand traps were good.
We thought golfers should not be able to walk this course. They were way too slow.
We will play again.

GOAT Trail
Terrible condition, must have a teenager running it. Good items, pro shop well stocked, breakfast good. Bad things, course in terrible condition, golf carts used, Dead areas in fairway, driving range bad, weeds,
Going downhill
Are used to live close to this golf course and would play it a lot and it would be in good shape I have not played it for a few years and now going back it is in a lot worse shape than it used to be now they are trying to make money by having a disc golf course where the regular golf courses and there is too many players playing across each other it is not comfortable or fun or in good shape I would not recommend it
Poor time management
I have never played this course at an acceptable pace. It’s always backed up and tee times frequently get delayed. Yesterday there was a fivesome playing two spots ahead who took 3.5 hours to finish the front 9. The marshal didn’t do
anything to pick up the pace. A slow pace is common for cheaper muni courses, but this course is nearly unbearable.
Awful golf course
The condition of the fairways is awful, the pace of playing extremely slow. I will never go play there again.
