About
Founded in 1917, Washoe Golf Course is the oldest golfing facility in Reno. The layout has small greens and tree-lined fairways, but the fairways are wide and flat making them fairly forgiving. There are water hazards and bunkers strategically placed throughout. The mature landscape is carefully maintained with an elaborate sprinkler system that ensures that the course is green and ready for play all year round. Washoe Golf Course also has PGA Professionals on staff to help with individual or group instruction and extensive practice facilities that include a generous putting green, driving range, and a chipping area with practice bunker.

Great day for January!
Weather was cool about 50 degrees. Course was in fairly good shape for this time of year.
The greens rolled pretty well except for some scabby spots here and there but I wouldn't expect the grounds crew to fix them up until spring. It's a fun course to play and does have a few challenging holes that keeps me coming back.
Nice layout. Very small greens. Chipping and putting important
It's a low budget course. But I enjoyed playing. The greens were in good shape
Somewhat disappointed
Pros : Super friendly staff, nice patio overlooking course.
Cons: driving range is small and mats only.
I almost got hit by a ball while on practice green. Nobodey yelled FORE! and declined to offer apology.
Dog-track
Saying this course is a "dog-track" is insulting to dog-tracks! HORRIBLE. Truly the worst course I've ever played. NOTHING was in good shape.
Washoe
Have been playing this course since 1975. Classic, old style course first built in the 1930s.
Not always in the best of condition but always a pleasure to play and the staff is always pleasent.
