About
Founded in 1917, Washoe Golf Course is the oldest golfing facility in Reno. The layout has small greens and tree-lined fairways, but the fairways are wide and flat making them fairly forgiving. There are water hazards and bunkers strategically placed throughout. The mature landscape is carefully maintained with an elaborate sprinkler system that ensures that the course is green and ready for play all year round. Washoe Golf Course also has PGA Professionals on staff to help with individual or group instruction and extensive practice facilities that include a generous putting green, driving range, and a chipping area with practice bunker.

GREAT ROUND, GREAT COURSE!
Had an amazing time, bumped into cool golfers and the course was fun!
The weather that day was the best!

Staff was great as always. The course was in good shape, I just wish that courses here would put the 100-150-200 yardage makers on a small pole along the carts paths. There are too many times that one doesn't see them in the fairways, and then they are passed by. Just a 150 marker would be good..

Nice course, great price
First time there , fairways and greens were good, grass off fairway a little thick hard to see and find balls. Really enjoyed the course for a great price
Red-neck Golfing
Red-neck golfing at it's best. Shirts optional for men on the front 9. I didn't know that was proper golf attire????
Great course for the Pro and the beginner
Course was very nice , greens were very fast and dry but all in if you stay fairway it’s a good game, trees are primary hazard on this course so stay a straight away and your golden.
The course is challenging and fun at the same time
I am an intermediate golfer and enjoy the course and the staff is very friendly!
Good overall
Good value for the cost of the round. Pace of play was quite slow. Some areas of the course were over-watered and muddy.
Always fun
Washoe seems flat and average on the front 9, then the back nine reaches up, puts hills, swales and other stuff in your way. It is always a fun course to play and many holes will challenge even accomplished golfers. Not to hard on the wallet either.
