Heritage Oaks Golf Course

We enjoyed our round however the staff seems to resent people coming to play using golf now. They should realize there are many courses in the area and golf now increases their number of bookings.

I had not golfed here in while due to the busyness of this course. I will not be golfing there again until they change their ridiculous scheduling issues. The pace of play is making Heritage Oaks unplayable. There needs to be course rangers managing the players. Or change the tee times available with larger gaps. It should not be taking me 5 1/2 hours to play a round in the middle of a weekday. I had to wait an extra 15 minutes before I could even start my round, only to be waiting for 2 groups ahead of me to start the first par 3.

This is one of the best gems in Virginia.The price is a bit to high.$45.00 would bring more customers.

We played this course for the first time. We’re pleasantly surprised by the layout.

Heritage Oaks is a good value as the course is in good condition. Only issue that I had was that there was no drinking water on the course when the temperature was around 90 F.

Course was a great layout for the area.

Considering the lack of rainfall, the greens were good and the fairways were sparse in places considering the conditions. The rough could have been mowed down a little to help speed up play. Overall, nice track.

Extreme drought conditions in the Valley have obviously stressed courses, but Heritage Oaks is still very playable , if not at their usual high standard. There was a remarkable number of unrepaired pitch marks on practically every green. Haven't seen that before at this course. ???

Always enjoy playing Heritage Oaks when staying at Massanutten. Their Thursday rate cant be beat!

Heritage Oaks is a very nice course!!! Dave does such a great job with the course layout! Very forgiving fairways! If you hit in the rough, you still have a shot to the green! But that will change once the spring and summer arrive, then it’s atleast A one shot possibly 2 when you hit in the rough! Putting surfaces where in really good shape! Overall this course is well worth the play!! Enjoy

I have played this course numerous times. I enjoy playing it when I get the opportunity. It’s by far the best maintained course in the area. Looking forward to playing it again sooner.

Heritage Oaks provides an interesting, walkable, scorable design at a great price with a friendly staff and great conditions. So basically, all you could ask from a municipal golf course.

With the summer heat and dry conditions, the course is currently playing firmer and faster than I've ever seen (in season). The slight browning out in some spots may not look the most appealing but it takes away nothing from the playability and in fact enhances it, giving you Bryson-like drives on some of the holes and challenging greens.

The variety of holes here always makes for a thorough round of golf, using all the clubs in your bag and skills on your person.

It's always a pleasure to play here and I can't wait to come back again!
