She’s seen better days but there’s hope for her still
Great layout and still a fun test of golf but a lot of the greens have some serious dead spots, they did their best to make most pins away from them but they couldn’t always win that fight with the state of the worst ones. They’re doing a lot on landscaping and repair and refilling on the bunkers and other serious landscaping around the course, especially on the creek that will probably play and look amazing next year.
hopefully they’ve just realized they’ve lost the greens for this year and are planning on heavily reseeding and doing whatever it takes on the greens for this fall and winter and try and revive them for next year. It has the potential to be great and you can tell they’re spending money to try and work on it so I’ll keep my hopes high for this Pete due gem in the future.
Greens on the verge of dying
Great layout but unfortunately way overpriced for greens that in multiple locations appear to be dying/infected with some kinda fungus. Very disappointing as it was one of the better courses in the area. If they don’t address this soon you might as well just blow up the greens because they won’t be puttable. . Fairways, tee boxes were good. Cart paths have vastly improved. But the greens are very concerning.
Great course
I really enjoy this course. The double dog leg par 5's are extremely challenging to par, especially since the trees in front of the greens are very mature and impossible to hit over.
Course is in rough shape
Haven't played here in over 5 years and unfortunately it's gonna from a really nice course to a a pretty bad course especially for normal rates. I love the layout of the course but the greens are in very rough shape. Bunkers are being worked on which is good but that will be a long project I'm sure. Honestly in the current condition this course is barely worth the the price I paid $36 let alone their normal rates. Hope this course can make a comeback because I'd love to play here again but that won't happen until their greens and bunkers are in better shape
Excellent improvements
Cleaning up the waste areas, improving traps course is in great shape
Improvements made
The cart paths and bridges used to be in very bad shape but have been very much improved and repaired which makes getting around the course more pleasant. Good that a lot of tall growth has been either removed or cut back to make getting to the green easier. Some greens still need repair in a few spots. Overall, a much improved experience on a good - and tough - golf course.
Not as good as I’m years past
This course has always been at the high end for area courses. The course and grounds are not as well kept especially for the prices.
Fowler’s Used to Be Amazing..
This course has a lot of great aspects..like design, layout and most maintenance. They are losing the greens with several Silver Dollar spots on every single green that they have painted green to attempt to hide. The greens are concerning to me, as I am afraid they may have to kill them and start over if they cannot resolve the Silver Dollar problem. It’s such a great layout and is so frustrating to see the sand being of poor quality/quantity and the greens starting to go..ballsy of them to charge $85 for a morning ‘weekend’ round IMO.
