Golfer Reviews
Great weekend day of golf
The babe was playing nicely this weekend. The Fairways were green and lush, but the occasional mudball in the fairway from some of the recent rain. Greens were putting pretty well. Overall a nice day of golfing. The pace of play was decent....about 4.5 hours for us to finish our round.
This course has great variety
Fair test of golf with forgiving fairways and greens that will get your attention. I will be extending my stay in California so I can play the Babe course. Other than the moderately slow play it was very enjoyable.
Great course
Best bang for your buck. Course was in great shape
What a disappointment!!
Only when you get to the pro-shop, do they let you know that you can't take the buggy to the range, you have to carry your bag etc out there and back. And no shuttle service either - time of the season, they say... Only when you get to the range, do you realize that the range guy takes cash only!!?? And at the range, you realize that the putting area is closed. BTW - staff not overly friendly... Only when you are about to start your round, do they tell you that 80% of the holes are cart path only, which means you have to walk back and forth and carry a bunch of clubs with you to your ball. Pace ridiculously slow, one marshall on the course, but not tough enough to speed up the crawling pace. 5.5 hrs for our round!!! Greens extremely fast, hole locations were ridiculous on most holes, as if placed there on purpose! Rented clubs (called ahead and made rez), clubs were dirty, old, and the sets not complete. Asked for an espresso after the round (it's resort, for crying out loud!!?), they said the espresso machine is off because of the time of season... Really!!??
I don't know if this is acceptable for an 80 dollar round? Took my guests there, and it was an embarrassment...
one of the greatest short course in Southern California
Book Babe on GolfNow and got a great deal. The day was perfect for golf, not hot nor cold. The fairways were in great condition and the greens were exceptional. Though the course is short, it was challenging. Image the LPGA professionals played here, and the view Louie, the view it may not be like Torrey Pines but it was something to see. If you want to challenge your course management, I say bring it to this course and see how good you are. By the way the restaurant has great service and food. After the game nothing beats a great massage. Thank you GolfNow and Babe for a great game of golf.
Great if you like cart path only
The course is in great shape, and is very challenging. Only bad part is about 12 holes were carr path only, and there wasn't any water or rain recently. Also if your cart was within 120 yards from the green and you weren't on the path it would slow down to a crawl until you go back on the path. Very frustrating. Speaking of the cart, don't trust the gps. It was way off and almost got us killed by someone behind us.
What a fun golf course
Excellent condition. Lush fairways and fast greens. Great views of the inland city of Los angeles from the course. Short but well designed golf course to give challenges to any leveled golfers.
excellent golf test
The course was in great shape. A drawback was that many holes were cart path only! This meant that the round was over 5 hours. We waited on every shot for the group ahead.
We have played 6 different courses in the area during the past two weeks with the same price point and this was by far the best conditioned course.
The course is tight with many out of bounds on the left. There are a lot of trees that come into play so ball placement is important.
Aerosapce program manager
The course was well maintained and play pace is very good. A challenge course for above average golfers
great conditions for golf
We played the blues which were challenging, but the course was in great condition. The group in front was slow, and left a lot of unrepaired divots on the greens. The greens were a little soft, but the fairways were perfect.
worth every penny
I've never been disappointed with the course conditions. Always immaculate. The greens are always fast and true. Love this place. Disneyland for golfers! Best practice area, I wish I was closer. ..I'd be here everyday!
Great course
Great course to play. After 4th hole. Waiting time for each hole was getting worse. But love the course and enjoyed playing there.
Fun and Challenging
Course played in a fog for 2 holes. Anyone who has been here knows that fog and the Babe do not mix. Teed off at 9 AM and played 16 holes in 2.5 hours (skipped 1 and 2 due to the fog). Playing here is not for the faint of the heart off the tee. Tight lines and to be expected and distance should be secondary thought. Green rolled nice - a little slower than I remember but nice. will be back!
checking in as single
Ended up change group three times. Front counter did not tell me I need to sign for cart so I started one hole behind.
Tough course sloppy hilly with fast greens
This is my first review in Golfnow.
My handicap is 12.
This course is well maintained.
The overall fairway layout is narrow with sloppy hilly and blind green from the fairway. Green is pretty fast and pin position is also challenging. plus many fairway and green side bankers.
Was once a better course.
Staff was rude and kept us waiting to tee off. starter was rude ..Couldn't even offer a shuttle to the driving range and had me walk carrying my staff bag..Will not play this course for awhile.
Xmas eve golf day
Great course. Got to play for $49 which is a steal. Can't wait to try Ike.
tough golf in LA
This golf couse is alway one of the most tough and best challenge place in LA area. If you play own you are H/C. you going Excellent day.
Great Condition
I have played this course many times, best I have seen it this year.
Very well kept Course
It's my first time to play golf at this course. The course is in general very impressive. However, the course is a little bit too short. I also had difficult time to go back to the club house after the rounding.
