The course ' location is great.

This course is on the top of mountain in the city . Great layout of each hole was making golfers pleasure to play.
The course was not too hard to play and also not too easy to have the game.
Any level golfers will be enjoying a day of golf and, pre and post golfing .

I Should Have Played the White Tees ;)

My experience may not be typical, but it felt like the perfect day. The weather and temperature were both perfect. I got a good deal for the round, $44 which seemed fair. The cart came with two coolers and GPS. The course itself was fairly challenging with big elevation changes on some of the holes (e.g. the par 3's). I might have enjoyed myself a bit more if I played the White tees (I played the Blues). The pace of play was really quick, under 4 hours (but that may not be typical).

A bit slow paced but BEAUTIFUL

(Babe Course) First time out here and WOW, beautiful course. With professional ladies tourneys here I knew it would be a good place to play... Got paired up with two other singles with GroupOn deals (all first timers at the course). We all loved it, and one even was ticked b/c it was better than his home country club!! Layout had several hard doglegs, so think about playing the blue tees (guys) or else you may need to hit several non-driver tee shots. Greens were challenging to read - home knowledge would be helpful... Also, while pace was a little slow, the recent rain forced "cart path only" conditions, so the slower round was to be expected.

Too slow

Left after playing 16 and that took just over 5 hours to play. There were 5 somes on the course, possibly part of the problem. Nice course in great shape but way too much waiting around. Probably a great course to play during the week when less crowded.

Great Day

Mid Handicap so it was very challenging but enjoyable since we played from the correct tees. Great staff and enjoyed the course and conditions. Surprisingly impressive facility. I have flown over Industry Hills probably 500 times on the approach to LAX and finally went to play. Looking forward to returning.

Great Day

We played on a "Mega Monday" and got on the Ike for $60. While that is not cheap, it seems like a reasonable price for an excellent layout. Pro shop staff and starter were very friendly. We actually teed off about 10 minutes ahead of our scheduled tee time. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were very fast and there were some very challenging pin placements. All in all, it was a very enjoyable round of golf.

Great tight Course

This course was in very good shape and was almost too green. The greens rolled very well and was a blast to putt and chip on. The only reason I am not giving this course 5 stars on the conditions was because they seemed to be over watering the fairways. It was noticeably wet in certain areas and it did not rain the day before.

Course was pretty difficult and almost too tight but I did enjoy it. I ended up shooting around 5 over par and my handicap is around a 8. Many great holes but a couple bazaar ones as well (there is a 300 yard par 3...). The other course at this location (the one where they play the LPGA tournament) looks MUCH more open and has more rolling hills but from what I have heard it is much more expensive.

I do not know what the full price usually is but I payed around $69 to play here through a golfnow deal and for that price it is very much worth it. The only other deal I can think of that beats that is playing for the same price at Oak Quarry or a $50 round at Goose Creek.

Tough but fair golf course.

According to the staff the greens were punched on 10/7/13 and the fairways were aerated around the same time. The greens were a little soft and still had some slight bumps in them but were fine overall. The fairways are getting close and it was good that we were not allowed to drive on them because it was doing the course a lot of good. They do a nice job taking care this course and it gets a lot of play. The Babe is always a barometer for me in terms of my level of play because it poses a challenge in that you have to keep the ball in the fairway in order to play well.

My favorite public course in Los Angeles.

The course is very well maintained and the pace of play has been great -- sub 4 hour rounds. I find the course very challenging, more a strategy course rather than a long hitters course. By far my favorite in Los Angeles. I prefer this to the Ike course.

Course design is fun. Dog legs, bunkers, levels, hills, greens break,

Fairways are over watered. Carts are GPS and there's lots of cart path only holes. Must obey rules. Cart slows down drastically.

Very challenging but some things need attention

I played the Zaharias course. Very challenging but the carts are almost worthless. The GPS is great but when the cart hits an incline it slows down to almost nothing. I understand carts have governors for safety reasons but it was almost ridiculous. Even when the cart I was in at one point in the middle of the fairway it told me to get back to the cart path and it still took a long time to get back up to speed.

Greens were in good shape but they were watering everywhere. I had a ton of plugged lies in the fairway and near the greens were even worse.

too narrow for full swing..intimidating n frustrating course.......

Wouldn't recommend this course for beginners. Thus courses for scratcher to low bogie players only....too hot in summer....good for winter time only....

Interesting "mature" old course.

My first time to play "The Babe" at Industry Hills and I think it's a little unfair. (For what it's worth, I'm a low single digit golfer) There are a lot of trees, which is just fine, but there are numerous trees blocking doglegs and even in front of some greens. The landing areas are a little too small and basically it takes driver out of play. The par 5's are mostly unreachable in 2 and if you hit your tee shot left or right you'll have to hit it out sideways. To be fair, the course had some character with big greens, and was in reasonably good condition. However, I think there were far too many blind shots or impossible shots if you stray from the center of the fairway. I wouldn't recommend it to others...

This course is challenging.

This course is challenging but has good set up. As long as my drive is straight in the middle of fairway. I wish there is earlier notification on the card screen before slowing in the card prohibited areas.
