Menifee Lakes Country Club - The Palms Golf Course

About
Menifee Lakes Country Club offers two championship courses designed by Ted Robinson, the Lakes and the Palms. The courses share many characteristics including challenging greens, playable fairways, and over 100 bunkers strategically placed throughout each course. As its name would suggest, the Palms Course plays through stands of swaying palm trees. The scenic landscape is meticulously maintained, which allows the greens to putt fast and true. The Palms has less water than the Lakes Course but water is still a prominent presence, especially on the front nine where it comes into play on every hole. The challenge on the back nine comes from the numerous bunkers situated along the fairways. At 6,567 yards the Palms Course is just a hair shorter than the Lakes Course but they are equally challenging.

good mix of holes
lots of fun but yet a challenge. very nice greens and fast
This is a nice course. Greens usuallly in good shape.
Menifee Lakes is a nice course there are alot of courses in the area that I play. I believe the price is a little high on the weekends, but this is due to the course being extremely popular with the older and local crowd.
Greens and fairways are fried.
I was greeted in the pro shop with the staffs back turned to me. When I received my cart the starter spoke little English and was more rude then the pro shop staff. The starter only cared for the members. Once we were on the course there was little to know grass on the fairway. The greens were burned and the holes had not been changed in days. This was our groups last trip to this course. October 24th 2012
very good
There was a tournament just finishing when I arrived so it was a little slow getting started but the play picked up when we get out on the course. It is a beautiful 2 course arrangement with lots of water and can be tricky.
Pleasure
I was set up with a playing partner, able to hit a few balls, make a couple of putts. Course was busy but people were courteous and playing partner was good company. I find full courses like Menifee challenging as I have health issues causing me to end up one whipped puppy. On this day golf was a pure pleasue such that I never noticed the usual exhaustion. Can not wait to do it again.
Great course
I love this course a lot. True rolling fast greens, beautiful views, fluffy soft fairways. Very fun course to play!
Good
Booked Palms course. Never playing the Palms side, we asked if there is any thing we should know. The Pro told us it was pretty straight forward but the 10th and 11th holes were near the "Lakes" rotation...good advise ...we may have wondard around a bit. I think the Palms are about to go into arriation. A few fairways and some areas on a couple greens are recovering from the summer. Those areas are identified, roped and were being sodded. We played during the week, it was like our own course.
Fairways open, greens protect the hole with slope. Drives don't need to be huge, but getting the ball close to the hole from 120 and in will save 3-putts.
Lakes side encourages golfers to work golf ball both ways off tee box.
Course is well maintained. Some what challenging without being penalizing. Multi-tiered greens require good shots to green in order to set up birdies.
Good Chalenge, good conditions.
I hadn't played this course in several years, but found it to be in good shape as it was then. The discount gave me the option I needed to play this good course.
Enjoyable experience
Staff was frendly. Palms course fairways were in good shape. greens were good, ball rolled true. Enjoyed the round. Some times when fairways are not hit. have to pay. Took just 4 hrs to go around. Beer could be cheaper.
The course is very playable, and the conditions were very good.
The pace of play was good although player traffic was light. The greens were mostly in nice shape, and the overall course condition was very good. However, some of the tee boxes needed to be mowed. The beverage cart made several visits during the hot day. The staff at the course was pleasant, but the club has an opportunity to make it even a better experience for the player with some simple customer service training. Overall, it was another good day at the course.
Very enjoyable course to play.
Menifee is challenging and the greens are pretty nice. For the price and over all experience, the 1 1/2 hour drive is worth it.
Best value for the money in the I.E.
Hadn't play on the Lakes in maybe10yrs, found the time on line and was looking for a deal got there an hr early at tee off 12:30 finished and was home at 4pm. I love the greens, got hooked up w/a cool guy, I felt challenged by his game and playing the course. We played in 3hrs, not a sole on the course. I live in Murrieta on the course and the heat put a hurt on the greens, so when got to the 1st green here I was impressed by the grounds crew for the work you do for us golfer, thanks. I shot 77 in a light breeze 1st round this year breaking 80, nice not waiting on every shot, make it so much more enjoyable.
Public Course. Try to get a good price for an afternoon round
It is sad, but at one time this looks like it might have been a nice facility. The club house is run down. The starter (we had encounters with him over 2 days) was nothing more than a fence post taking up space. The 2 stars were for the kind individuals in the pro shop who did their best to be professional. The course itself, well it is typical public links. Fun to play but keep your expectations low and you will have a fun time! Got great rates on golfnow.com. Thanks Golfnow!!
Nice course, really good prices
We played The Palms Course this time and really enjoyed the course. Challenging enough for the guys and yet friendly for the ladies. Despite the heat the course was well maintained. Will play this one again. Very similar to the Lakes Course
good challenge.
Nice course, challenging green. Place your shots is important.
Great lay out
Cool course, nice lay out. Fairways and greens in great shape. Love the course.
Menifee outing
The staff was great and the course was in pretty good condition. It had recently rained so there was a cartpath only rule which wasba little annoying. Sometimes you would need a different club and the cart was too far. I didnt want to walk back and forth and slow down play. All in all it was a good day.
