Getting Back To Golf

Nearly perfect greens. Ball rolls for days. Soft tee boxes. Get outta the house. Golf is a part of the healing.

I played with another single and we rocked the course.

My New Friend David Played AWESOME! He launched the ball some 300 yards about 4 holes. Along with 3 birdies. And yes it would have went in on the 15th Hole. The par 3 shot of the day! David launched the ball into the wind with a 6 iron the ball starts left of green/hole, curves right and dropped onto the foam in hole and bounced out softer then if it hit the flag. There was no divot. So it for sure hit the foam.

Back 9 is dried up

Played the front and was having a good round, when turning to the back 9 the first 2 holes were okay with the grass then when you cross the road the course turns into a motocross dirt track. The grass only grows around the sprinklers about 10 feet then on the fairway it is hard dirt making a really good drive in the fairway land in the dirt.

Nice course, but needs maintenance

The fairway conditions are pretty poor. There're too many dry areas all over. It really needs watering. The greens are well maintain though. A few holes have many duck/goose poopoo.

Expansive And Vast Amazements Await At Shoreline

Wonderful Setting and Links Course On The Bay. Having played all “links” style golf North of this, I’d recommend Shoreline.

Keep it in the fairway and green and it’s good. “Thru the green” it’s really good from back tees. Par 3 are good, ball bounces for now on the fast and firm par 4 and 5, and the greens are super.

It’s a parkland style Front links and back nine is True links and has “gorsch”. Hit it long and straight and enjoy the expansive views.

I like squirrels so no problem seeing thousands of holes outside fairways and in wildlife territory . Serious wildlife here and a serious piece of land.

Keep this course up as it’s layout and greens are better than most public courses...

Good value

A good value on the weekday. Not in the best shape though. To be fair, it’s February and we haven’t had any rain for almost two months. So fairways are dry and hard. At least one positive on that is a good drive will roll well. Greens are inconsistent with speed which we assumed is because the green keepers out there were watering them by hand. Also saw them watering tee boxes which would otherwise be hard as a rock without it.

Followed by course Maintenance

First 7 holes I had to hit at the course maintenance guy trimming around the 150 yard markers directly in the middle of the fairways. If he wasn't a good target I would have been upset but he was cool. Shot 85 in 3 and 1/2 hrs and it could have been lower on both counts if on the back nine I didn't run into slow play. The course is in pretty good shape but could use more sand in the traps as nobody likes to hit rocks.

This course is not too hard for beginners and intermediates. Course is flat and wide open. There are couple of water hazard and might need to plan your shots at certain point on the course. Great practice for beginners and intermediates.
