Shoreline Golf Links at Mountain View

Like this course and always have. They have nice greens but back nine has some construction activity

Played this week on a weekday and with the hot deal this was an incredible value for the money. The course was in good shape with some patches having almost not grass on one or two greens. Given we had different handicap levels in our group, the pace of play was great and we all enjoyed it greatly.

The greens are okay but the fairways are not well maintained. The course had soggy spots even if it hasn't rained for a week. One of the worst condition courses we have played in a while.

Shoreline could be an okay course if they can overcome the perennial problem of geese and droppings. Also, most fairways need maintenance badly and the bunkers need sand (unless they were meant to be dirt bunkers). On the positive side, the greens were in good condition. And the Hot Deal green fee was quite a bargain.

Fairways have patches of dirt.
Pro shop rude, almost wasn't able to play because I forgot my proof of tee time.
The pro shop refused to call golf now to confirm my time.

Fairways were in rough shape. They need lots of attention.
Tee boxes also need some love.

interesting layout, can be real tough when windy. couple of nice risk/reward holes. be warned the course is in very poor condition. greens need immediate attention.

The course has a nice layout, especially the front nine. Most fairways and some greens in poor condition. Irrigation appears in dire need of repair as there are areas that are burned out and others that are swampy.

The fairways were awful. Most of the bunkers had no sand in them.

for all the talk about improving course conditions on their website, the only evidence I saw was some new sand in a few bunkers . some of the bunkers are still like concrete. overall the course needs a lot of attention. won't be back anytime soon.

Course was better than winter conditions but still fairways have mucho bare spots, less geese on course than I have seen for awhile. Greens were mostly OK but repair areas around green are hard to chip out of due to new mats of grass 3 inches high.

Fairways were patchy and dried out. There were many ground under repair areas so it was a sign that someone is paying attention but long term drainage issues continue. Greens were in good shape for putting.

I will come back and play again. Will recommend .Good restaurant and practice facility.

It's sad. The golf course layout is excellent, especially when considering it's a muni.

Over the years it was maintained well.

Now however its just a complete mess. It's absolutely not worth the money.

This is a mixed bag .... greens are great. fairways and rough are in marginal condition. lots of ground under repair. birds and ground squirrels. Wet and sloppy in some areas; redesign and construction in others. Bunkers in various states.... some new sand others eroded or bare to hard pan. Not a bad place for a practice round.... lots of trouble and challenging shots. But with current conditions not a course that will give you a wow day .

Flat terrain was welcome change from some other hilly,contoured courses. Alas! Fairways are right now in poor condition, apparently because of backfed saltwater through damaged sewer pipes.
Hopefully repairs take place quick enough to provide good lies.

Over the past year Shoreline Golf Links has gone from bad to worse. Large patches of dirt are showing thru the fairways. The 'grass' looks like it's been in a drought state for years. Coots continue to slop up the course. The only positive is that the greens are in pretty good shape but the mud you have to walk thru to get there is miserable.

The course was in rough shape with a lot of areas in need of repair. Don't mind playing such courses just don't wanna pay over $50.

The course is well maintained (aside from copious goose do on several tees), but the greens were pretty fast, seemed much faster than most other courses around here. All in all, I like Shoreline quite a bit for the challenges, and for the fact that I seem to play pretty well there.

Overall course is showing improvement compared to 6 Months ago...definite challenge in cold/windy conditions.
