Jurupa Hills Country Club
About
Situated in the foothills of Riverside, Jurupa Hills Country Club is popular amongst locals for offering one of the most affordable rounds in the area. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but there are still some tough holes. The front nine is fairly wide open but the back nine gets more challenging. Although the fairways are mostly straight, they are lined with trees on both sides and the occasional dogleg is thrown into the mix. The golf course tumbles across rolling hills, providing uneven lies and a few blind shots as well. Large sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout and there are also a few water hazards that come into play. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range at Jurupa Hills Country Club.

Nice but slow
Love the conditions and layout. However, pace of play on the back nine was painfully slow. Changed a great round into a rough one.
Staff at snack/food area not friendly.
Staff at snack bar not friendly at all. If you don't like your job or can talk to people nice shouldn't work where you need to interact with people. Staff where you check in were nice and as well as the staff on the course. I'm not a big fan of the layout of the course but would still come and play because it's near by my house. But when you have rude people in the snack bar, well let's just say I won't be coming back. Thanks to everyone else except the lady at the snack bar.
Great course for the price
I kind of had low expectations going into the round. It was a $45 round so I felt like the course wouldn't be in great shape but boy was I surprised. 17 of 18 greens were in excellent shape. The greens are very small and they were pretty slow but they were rolling very good. One of the greens was pretty tore up but that was it. The fairways were also in very good condition. My only complaint was several tee boxes were basically dirt with spotty crab grass. Not horrible when you're teeing up but still something to notice. Overall for $45 I would play here all the time
Bad oversight
This golf course, in addition to Van Buren, and Indian Hills, that makes an effort to inspect your baggage for outside alcohol. It has been known that the owners of these golf courses are making their staff check for outside alcohol so they can make a profit on there own sale of alcohol. Of all the golf courses in SoCal, these are the only courses to break this unwritten rule. I won’t play here again until they improve their customer service. I suggest the owners change their attitudes on this subject.
Not so great
Overall the grass is in fair condition. I don’t see any reason to play this course ever. Greens are ok but spongy and quite slow.
Tee boxes don’t have a lot of grass. Lots of trees which are the main obstacles on this course.
Great time
If your in the area its a must play.is set up for all level of players.
