Dying course
This course has gone from bad to terrible. Need to redo the front nine too many holes & dirt mounds greens are good fairway are almost all dirt or weeds
Thank god for the greens
After playing a round (and not hitting in the sand at all) I was covered in dirt. Fairways are a mixture of dead grass and dirt. Hitting in the fairway could be a bad thing in some holes, rough at least has grass. Rodent holes all over the course.
Groups in front jumping all over the course playing holes again. Greens however were in good shape.
Truly Awful Conditions
Landing on a patch of decent grass is something to celebrate here. I’d never played a course that makes you play a sand shot in the middle of each fairway until I came here. Between the gopher and squirrel hills riddled throughout each hole and the homeless people walking through the middle of fairways, it makes me so sad to see what this course has turned into.
Course never improves.
The course conditions here I’m sad to say are HORRIBLE. Gofers, dead grass on the fairways throughout. Unleveled “”BAJA DESERT” fairways. Balls landing in hard compacted dirt with rocks is a common thing here. I mean this course is trashed. This is the “Carnival Cruise” line of broke-back golf courses. It’s really in poor shape. Prado’s “Butterfield” course is in far better shape than this course.
What the h€ll happened to this course....
They put a ton of money into the driving range and putting a bar out there. For people to come and spend their time drinking and hitting ball. Zero money on the course. This course is so bad that I want my money back. I am not the best golfer, but I don't expect to hit a ball off the fairway and need a four wheel drive to find it. There's a thing called rough, and it's not at whispering. Lakes, it's more of a mole compound, with holes as big as watermelons, hunting for a ball twisted my ankle. Do not play at this course.Take it off golf now.The city should be ashamed of theirselves. Worried about getting revenue from alcohol and not taking care of the course. They should pay me to play there.
A Masterclass in Neglect
This is an Absolute Abomination of a Golf Course
I honestly don’t understand how this course is still in the condition it’s in. They spent millions building the new baseball stadium nearby, upgraded the driving range, and added a nice new bar area — yet somehow the actual golf course was completely forgotten.
The fairways are basically dirt fields with random patches of grass. Gopher holes are everywhere, and if you drive the cart anything over walking speed, you feel like you’re risking kidney failure from all the bumps and craters. The tee boxes are constantly uneven, forcing uphill or downhill lies before you even hit your first shot.
The greens have dirt patches all over them, and overall the course looks neglected and poorly maintained from tee to green. Calling some of these fairways “fairways” is generous.
The only reason this place isn’t completely unbearable is because the staff is actually friendly and professional. They’re doing the best they can with what they’ve got. The upgraded driving range and bar area are nice too, but none of that makes up for how terrible the actual course conditions are. Too bad we can’t petition and file some type of complaint with the city of Ontario. At this point, it looks like an absolute nuisance and completely in shambles..
If you care about course quality, save your money and play somewhere else.
Is surprisingly good time.
Even though I'd been there before, I didn't really remember the course that well. Two friends lured me down there and it ended up being a very good time.
Good course to practice on.
Got a great deal on golfing here. Fairways are no good, it’s a rough ride on the cart, but the greens were pretty good and you just can’t beat the hot deal! Laid back environment, not overly crowded and everyone was friendly. Great place to practice.
Tough times
Course fairways are 60% grass and 40% dirt. Cheap and I know why. Won’t be playing here again.
Needs help
Really disappointed in this course. For $57 I really expected more. Fairways were more dirt than grass. Greens where just plugged and no one said anything. The bunkers are more like soot and sand. Seems like they dumped the budget into the golf carts that reduce speed any time you in between Fairways.
Only plus is the bar. For $10 more per round there are alot of nice courses in the area.
This is what I expect with a $20 a round course.
You get what you you pay for
Tee boxes we’re decent. Greens were okay. Slow.
Fairways were terrible.
Pace was slow. Bunch of drunks. Lol.
But was fun. Testing out some irons so got some good work in.
Not Great
I’m always the type of person who likes to experience things personally rather than taking someone’s word for something but this is a different story. Greens are in good shape but that’s about it. Fairways don’t reward you as it’s just dirt.
The range looked nice and the bar was cool, but I wouldn’t recommend playing this course.
