Don’t do it!!!
We didn’t even make it to hole 8…the whole place from tee boxes to greens is awful. Poorly maintained EVERYWHERE. They are allocating money to all of the wrong places and over charging to play this course that will literally throw your back out or make you roll an ankle due to the terrain, in or off the cart. Pay a little more and go to one of the other courses in the area.
Worst course
This place has been the worst course I’ve ever played at the fairways are terrible. The greens were fair.. I can’t believe that the owners have let this go. they really need to get tractors ithere and smooth out the course. I could go on and on about this place, but all I have to say is I won’t be back till they get their act together..
I have hope
This is one or the worst, if not the worst courses in Southern California. They did make some improvements on the range and a “pop up” bar near the range however the food wasn’t great.
The layout does have potential but the pace of play was ridiculously slow. The tee boxes were even but mostly dirt. The fairways were dirt mixed with crab grass. The greens were bumpy and grass was unevenly cut. There was so much dust due to all the dirt on the fairways.
Kinda felt like i was golfing in a third world country.
I do think they’re trying to make it better. As i mentioned the range is nicer with covers now. But still all dirt. They have new carts with gps which is hopeful. But the actual course needs major work. Half my tee shots either landied on dirt in the middle of the fairway or ricocheted off a bump and ended up in more dirt in the rough.
I will not go there again until i hear that they have some MAJOR improvements.
Amenities are nice
If you are wanting to play on a beautiful course, this is not the spot. If you want a casual game with other nice practice amenities, it certainly checks off the list.
Greens and fairways need to be fixed asap
Played with family today. And by far the greens were not in very good condition. They were bumpy and one hole had a big gash in it, as though someone had used their putter and made a huge divot. Some of the fairways were dry with sand and dirt. The golf cart would not let us go into the areas even though the ball was in play. I may have to think twice before I book another tee time. Hopefully they spend some money on the course before the single A dodgers Stadium gets built.
Great amenities, But
The cows are gone! Nice new amenities very nice. The But, the course has been rearranged but not updated to GPS. Most of the hole markers have not been updated or are just plan missing. Last but not least the fairways are as dry As a bone, I mean not getting watered at all.
I Know Why Its So Cheap
Well, it was definitely a fun day with my friends out on the course, but due to us, not the quality of the course. Half our lies, even in the “fairways” were on exposed dirt, not grass. By the back nine we all decided that instead of scuffing our clubs more, we would all get free placement from the dirt patches onto the nearest grass because it was so bad. We had a foursome and both of our carts died during the round, leaving us to walk until management could bring a replacement cart out. The course was also incredibly boring, with mostly dead-straight holes with two greenside bunkers. Just copy-and-pasted over and over again.
Also we had a weird experience where our pace of play was pretty good, we started in the mid-morning with every tee time booked around us, and by hole six we had already made a gap of a hole-and-a-half between us and the group behind, who were playing quite slow. But a course official came over and told us that we were the slow ones. We told him to look behind us, there was clearly no one on the previous hole and the group was not even finished with the hole before that, but he still followed us for the entirety of the next two holes, just watching us from the side. I’ve played golf all my life and have never experienced something that creepy on a course before. Unsurprisingly, I’ll never be returning to this course.
If you can play some where else do it.
Course was in terrible conditions. Dirt, dust, and gopher holes all over. The staff was friendly and they apologized in advanced about the condition of the course.
Ugly
This place looks neglected. Greens were the best part and were pretty well maintained. Small greens (maybe 10 paces round), little break. Tee boxes were ok, have seen worse. But the worst part were the fairways. 90% was dead/need repairs. Tons of gopher holes, geese poo everywhere. Hard to tell where the rough and fairway met. Hit drives in the middle of the fairway only to have it stop rolling because it hit a gopher mound. Ooh.. and the carts.. the second you hit the rough is slows it down to a snails pace, needs some preprogramming. Spend a few more bucks and go to El Prado, Mountain Meadows, Los Serranos, Goose Creek… skip this one.
No longer worth playing
This place used to be a favorite of mine and my friends. In the last 5 months they have stopped watering the fairways and outlying areas. The only thing that's maintained are the greens, the rest is dirt, gophers holes, and weeds. Such a shame. After new management took over a couple of years ago things were looking up for this place. But now it looks like they are running it into the ground. Property details show it is owned by the City of Ontario. With the new stadium going in across the street it sure looks like the city will end up demolishing this area and bring in new restaraunts, etc to attract business.
It's kind of sad.
For years, the administration has promised that they are improving the course and putting money into it. Seems like the only place they care about is the range/bar area. It's all brand new with covered areas.
The actual course is just really sad. The greens are decent, but everything else is pretty much dirt and weeds. The normal rate is very high compared to other courses in the area that are in much better shape. The staff was really friendly. We got a killer deal with a Hot Deal & an additional discount, so it was worth it.
I would NEVER pay full price here.
Course Condition
Course is in absolute terrible condition. Not worth the money. $41 for the round and every hole looks like an alleyway, nothing but dirt and weeds.
Hot dog shop slow
The person at the bar needed help. It was really slow and slowed down the start of back 9
Wispering
Fairway is all jacked up. Too many gofer holes. Course is dry and little grass . Is all dirt
Greens are good but too fast.
