Eagle Pointe Golf Club

About
Rick Forester built Eagle Pointe in 1999, taking advantage of the distinctive natural terrain that includes abundant elevation changes and the snaking Old River. The pine-lined fairways roll through bunkers and water hazards to reach some impressive, well-conditioned greens.
The front features the most difficult rated hole in the 438-yard No. 6, which plays 419 yards from the tips and allows you to become intimate with the Old River. You'll need a solid tee shot to get in position for a decent approach and avoid the river on the left. The longish approach goes into a green surrounded on three sides by the Old River.
The back side boasts the course's signature hole. No. 18 is a 429-yard par 4, which requires a lengthy approach into a green surrounded by water.
Getting there : 30 miles east of Houston. Take I-10 east to Exit 800, turn left, proceed 3.5 miles and turn right on Eagle Pointe Dr.

Course Conditions Above Average
Great Course. Excellent condition. Gets lots of play so don't be in a hurry when you go out. Pace of play can drag at times but in my opinion it was worth it.
gREAT lAYOUT
Eagle Ponte is a beuatiful course. Each hole is an eyeful and
the conditions are great. tee boxes and fairways have plenty
of grass and are well marked. The greens are fast but are in
great shape. Out of bounds are plainly marked and overall
a super challenge for any golfer. We had to play cart pathes only due to recent rains but since a great deal. Would reconmend it to any golfer.
Great Course, love elevation changes
One of my favorite courses and would love to play again.
course is one of the best course in houston area by far..
greens are super fast, fairways had plenty of grass, and the overall up-keep was wonderfull. it is my favorite course to play..golfnow makes it affordable for me.
This course is beautiful, however players jam too much and some of players have not manners. They hit several times at same place.
This course is beautiful and well maintained, however players jam too much and players of front of my team have not manners. They hit several times at same place and makes jam to delay playing.
If you don't meet players which I met today, you will satisfied this course.
Rolling hills and wooded areas just perfect!
The rolling hills are so different from most h-town courses and was quite a change of pace. The practice facilities are great and the pro shop well stocked. Would definitely recommend to anyone to play a round here!
Great course wish it was closer
I had a great time playing your course. I wish you guys were closer to town so I could play here more often.
Super fast greens
Fun course to play. Course is well taken care of and the greens are in great condition as well. They are very hard and very fast so approach placement and the ability to backspin is needed.
Nice setting and great piece of land
Elevation changes, nice greens, friendly staff.
Very consistent quality and the trees are beautiful.
Best value on GolfNow, possibly in the entire state.
The greens are very good and the course was in near pristine condition on 10/18/12.
Great course. Excellent conditions.
Eagle Pointe is one of the best courses to play on the east side of Houston. Course condition was very good despite getting 2+ inches of rain a couple of days before. Had to play cart path only but was not a problem. Greens were in excellent shape and very fast. Course layout is very good with some fairly hard holes. Course has just enough elevation changes to make it interesting. Great practice areas with driving tee area and putting and chipping greens. This course is a must play

Nice course...
Course is in great shape. Greens roll good, but kind of slow. On this day there were a lot of people out there so there was some waiting. The overall course condition is very good. Great value through GolfNow!!

Good course with nice price
The condition of this course has been improved since my last visit 3 months ago. It's a very 'nice' price to play comparing with other courses near by the Houston area. Very enjoyable!
Always in good shape
Owned by the county so their water is fee and it is always in great shape.
Greens are moderately fast.
Good value compared to other courses in houston. If you can play during the week, great deals on Golfnow.
Very fair course with true putting greens and lush fairways.
I can't think of a better value in the Houston area... The first hole is a little scary with a big elevation drop but it's so nice to play a course with elevation changes in and otherwise very falt SE Texas. The greens had recently been sanded but were still fast and true... What more could you want, especially for the price..
Also had a very very nice practice area...
Love to play
My home course, great, great, great. One of the best in Houston
great course
this is one of the best courses to play in this area. the greens are the best that i have i have played and i have mentioned it ot eveery one that plays that i know.
great course
Like the layout lots of doglegs, not many straight holes, par 3's are tough, especially depending on tee markers. Green's are great, can be real fast. It's in our regular rotation of 4 courses.
