Best value in the IE
Course is in great shape. Tee'd early. pace of play was good, even though paired with a seasoned player and a new golfer.
Shot a 91, cause I destroyed the last 2 holes for no real reason.
Great course, rude staff!
The reason for the areas with one star is due to the Marshall named Tony. He started to harass us on hole two sayong wr were behind pace of play, then continued to follow us for 3 more holes and was relentless. At the time of the 5th hole we were on pace to finish in 3 1/2 hours! So I complained and one staff member said she would notify the general manager. I don’t know if that happened or not, but I complained again at the pro shop, and was given an extremely rude response.
Very fun course
course was super fun. I brought my 11 year old out for a twilight round and we finished in great time. We were paired with a wonderful couple who said their brother worked there. I can’t wait to come back!
Green grass and true greens
Great Sunday Fun day round at Sierra Lakes. Fairly slow round but not too bad. 4.5hrs. Greens are rolling true, so be confident and make some birdies
Incompetent Marshal
Played yesterday and ran into what the golf courses are doing these days by placing inept marshals on the course who have no idea what they’re supposed to do and have no communication skills to boot. They monitor pace of play emotionally not with specifics and treat Asians like second class citizens unlike they’re locals. Avoid this course if you expect to be treated fairly.
Golf
My tee time was moved up without notifying me. When I showed up for my scheduled tee time, they said I was late. When I showed the employee my confirmation, he said they switched my time to pair me with another twosome. I was then made to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to fit us in. The course itself is great, but your employees are never pleasant to deal with...
Wonderful course
Our first time playing Sierra Lakes. They had punched and sanded the front nine greens and were in the process of punching the back nine. This didn't affect the quality of our round. The back was closed so we played the front twice, this didn't affect or diminish our round either. We can't wait to play here again and play both nines.
Perfect fairway and green
The course is always keeping in good status and conditions. It will be better if the cart equipped by GPS and the players repair and fix the green ball marks.
Excellent golf course
This is an excellent golf course. The course is challenging and it rewards good shots. There are two items that must be presented. Our foursome was chastised for not maintaining pace of play when it was clear that the group ahead of us was a threesome and that they didn't putt out. Also, the putting green does not have real holes. Instead, the putting green has elevated plastic pieces that do not match the excellence of the golf course. Please reconsider this and please place real holes on the putting green. We will be back to play this very nice golf course.
Excellent condition
Course was in great shape. Hadn’t played there in years and was pleasantly surprised.
Only issue is you MUST have ice and coolers on a course in Fontana. It’s too hot not to
I want to echo my golf experiences I received last Friday(10/10/25) at Sierra Lakes GC similar to the above member. Our group (7:30A) also ran into this rude male course marshal. After finished the 1st hole(you read that right), the marshal came to talk to us to speed up a bit and catch up with the group in front of us that,. In my 40+ years golfing, I never experienced being warned of slow play after the 1st hole. When we reached the #2 tee box, the group in front of us was still the fairway waiting for the green to clear. I don’t think they played slow at all. We were on top of that group on #3 tee box(par 5). We reach the 3rd green and saw the group in front of us was waiting to tee off on 4th. We finished the #3 hole at 8:10A(40 min for 3 holes) and drove out cart to #4 tee box. One of the players in the group behind us hit a strayed ball that hit our cart and barely hit one of our players. When we were about to tee off on#4, the same marshal drove by to our group again and told us that we were still behind. I immediately told him that we finished the first 3 holes on 40 minutes which was way ahead of the 4H 30M pace for 18 holes. I politely told him that I disagreed with his assessment that our group was playing slow. I also mentioned that one of the players behind us almost hit us without yelling “fore”. He quickly told us that he would go back and speak to them. After we finished the 4th hole, this same marshal stopped us when we were in the cart and told us that the players behind us are not a good golfer and didn’t know how to yell “fore” on their errand shot that almost hit us. He said to us, “ These players don’t have good golf etiquettes” like us. I’m a bit disappointed at his remarks and immediately call the proshop and spoke to a very nice lady and told her about our experiences with this rude marshal. I told her that we finished the first 4 holes in under an hour. We finished our round in 3H and 45M.
I truly disappointed at the course management for its failure to properly trained their marshals how to communicate with the players and solving golf related issues. This marshal was rude and obnoxious to us. Yes, we booked our tee time at Sierra Lakes through GolfNow. I hope that the course management would do the right thing and train their course marshals to be more professional and speak to the customers with respect. And utmost courtesy.
The course itself is great. Fairways in great shape, greens were super slow from recent punching an and sanded. The starter & pro shop lady were pleasant and professional.
